Larry Scholnick

The parking lot is nearly full.
A Nice New car is parked almost a foot over the left-side line into the next parking space.
There's enough room for me to park entirely within the lines of the (remaining) space.
There's at least an inch of clearance between my right-side...

Hitch inversion theory by
Ad absurdum per aspera
Three times in the past week or so, I've noticed something I don't
recall seeing befo someone with a high-riding pickup or SUV who had
two to six inches of drop hitch -- installed upside down.
Two of them had a trailer on, and in the worst case, a flatbed behind a
Ford Excursion, the...

Was I good or bad? Rolling roadblock busting. by
So I was driving on a mostly flat & straight rural 2-lane expressway with
moderate traffic moving at reasonable & proper speeds. The right lane was
going a little slower than I like, the left lane a little faster. I move
left to pass & speed up a bit to avoid stacking up faster traffic, then...

looking for long distance truck driving safety tips by
j.pod
Hi, I am the guy who started this thread a month ago.
Well, I rented a Budget truck with a car carrier and made it to
Seattle before Christmas. The trip took me 2.5 days (I stayed
overnight in Williams, CA and Salem, OR). There were couple of
close moments, but nothing I'd say was dangerous. ...

Are you in favor of SUV's by
[email protected]
You are free to believe whatever you wish. The 'tendency' to
rollover scare and the impression SUV are inherently unsafe was
put forward by the anti SUV, global warming environuts, to scare
people away from buying them but it is contrary to the facts.
Talk to you agent and see for yourself, WBMA. ...

I have been running radar detectors for about 25 years now. 25 years
ago radar detectors made you impervious to police. The radar cops
employed back then was on all the time and you could pick them off at 2
miles easily.
Today it is a totally different scene. High tech electronics and with
