Brake Pad Thickness Variation Questions by
Caroline
For the first time ever, I checked the thickness variation of my 1991 Civic's
front brake rotors (NON-abs). I used a micrometer whose calibration I trust. It
actually reads to the nearest 0.0001 inch, but I have rounded to the nearest
0.001 inch below. The minimum thickness required on these rotors...

Please visit my brand new Xenon HID Showcase Website today...
Back in the late 1990's, I began to see these headlights on premium cars
that stood out from the rest. I was intrigued by them, but it wasn't until
after I drove a 2000 Acura 3.5RL with Xenon HID lighting, I was hooked!
Night became as...

$175 estimate for tune-up-- too much? by
jbourgeois
I received a $175 estimate for a major tune-up, including replacement of
spark plugs, wires, rotors, distributor cap, and air filter. There is a
$45/hr labor fee, and an estimated time of 2 hrs.
Is this too much? It sounds like too much time...

Civic 97 eats oil. Why? What to do? by
Viktor
Hi everybody,
I bought used '97 Civic CX 2-door hatchback two years ago and have
noticed that the engine eats the oil signigicantly (3000 miles
decreased the oil level by half). Otherwise it runs great, just passed
the emission test.
Is my engine on its way out?
Is there some inexpensive way to...

Follow up from "91 civic won't start" by
Chris Garcia
Strangest damned thing.. I get in the car, switch to the ON position, wait
for the fuel pump to finish.. Crank, and it starts w/ no problems.. Idle
was a bit rough at first (I don't blame it, it hadn't been used for almost
2 months) .. I took it around the block and it was back to normal..

2003 Odyssey Hesitation by

I've been having trouble with this van since we got it 2 years ago, and
it's getting worse. It seems
that around 40 and 60 mph, when we are just light on the accelerator to
maintain constant speed,
the tran almost seems like it slips to neutral. RPMs drop to idle and
we slow down. Applying...

Low gas mileage for 1998 Accord by
jbourgeois
I have a 1998 Accord with 117k. It gets 22 mpg in town and 32 highway.
Recently I had an evaporation system repair: the 2-way valve and canister
were replaced.
Any thoughts on why the gas mileage is so low?
Also, the engine "bucks" occasionally; in other words as I am driving
forward it almost...

Add tranny drain line? by

Hi, I wonder is this is feasible:
I have a 1996 Acura Integra with rather dirty automatic transmission
fluid.
Changing it a time or two or three seems a bit messy...
What do you folks think of addling a little drain valve on the
transmission cooler line? It looks like a not too rugged 3/8"...

I'm thinking of buying a Civic Del Sol. But I live in Minnesota and
would also be driving the car in winter. Does anyone have experience
