Brake question? by
Ebeneezer Geezer
I am preparing to do a brake job on my '76 vette (with trepidation). I know
that the bleeder nipples can be an issue as I have read of them being
snapped off. What is the best wat to try to get these guys loose for
bleeding the brakes? A small wrench ? or a socket on top of them? and then
the...

C4 needs shocks - recommendations?? by
Ed Berns
Hello all,
My 87 coupe just turned 70K miles and needs new shocks. It has the Z52 (not
Z51) package. It has what I believe are the original Delco-Bilstein shocks.
Fuguring that there are others who've put new shocks on their C4 this
season, I thought I'd troll to see what recommendations are out...

'87 C4 - A/C: Recharge stock or convert to new refrigerant? by
Ed Berns
Hi all,
My '87 coupe's A/C is blowing cool but not cold so should I recharge the
original A/C and keep the setup all original for that future collector or
convert to the new refrigerant (R12 vs R34?)?
Surprise, surprise, the cost at local garages (for recharge or conversion)
and the nearby Chevy...

Newbie gets 1st Vette by
Ed Berns
Hello all,
This one came by word of mouth via a long time Vette owner/collector. A 1987
Coupe, Dark Red Metallic. Z52 equipped. Obviously, an extremely well-cared
for car. For anyone intersted in seeing a picture of the car, here is a link
to it: http://users.rcn.com/redberns/87Vette.jpg
And here...

Newbie - '85 may be coming! Upholstery/carpet redo suggestions? by
Ed Berns
Hello All,
I've just been made an offer on an 85 that is probably too good to pass on
and as a result its likely I'll have my first Corvette.
Car runs strong, clean CarFax, has a decent repaint. 4+3 still working fine.
Has some steering "chatter" for lack of a better way to describe it that
will...

Maybe newbie with questions @ '94 by
Ed Berns
Hello all:
I'm looking to buy my first Corvette. Its been 55 years and I'm ready. Today
I took a '94 for the third test drive. During the first, the handling was
exceptionally sloppy. Turns out the right rear tire was substantially
underinflated. Test drive #2 was with repaired tire in light city...

Might become a Corvette Newbie - 1985?? by
Ed Berns
Hi folks,
This is my first posting in this newsgroup as I recently found an original
1985 (85K miles, Light Bronze, 4+3, asking $8K) that seems to be singing to
me. This would be an occasional use vehicle, not primary transportation so I
will be able to deal with the time necessary for required...

Looking to buy??? by
[email protected]
I have been offered a 1999 Corvette with 28,000 miles in mint condition
for $20,000. The car is absolutely beautiful and am extremely tempted
to purchase it but just wanted to check to see if it's a good deal. I
don't know much about vettes other than I have wanted one for a number
of years. ...

86 C4 ABS LIGHT by
edsplacecars
My ABS Brake motor stopped working and I was told that there was a
special diagnostic tool made by kent moore that has to be used on this
year. When I drive about 20 feet the light comes on and stays on, abs
motor never comes on. Any Ideas or things I should check besides fuses
and wheel sensors...

Suggestion on Corvette year to buy by
eganders
I am interested in purchasing a Corvette and would like a suggestion
on a year or year range. I am just going to use it as a fun "driver"
and I would like it to be probably no older than 12 to 15 years old.
I have owned two others in my lifetime (a '63 gold split window and a
'78 silver...
