2002 Honda Civic Si/SiR hatch steering creaking by
JP
Hi,
I have a 2002 Honda Civic SiR (or Si in US), and it has been having
steering problems:
on launching, or at low speeds when the throttle is applied, there is
a creaking sound coming from inside the dash. The sound is similar to
an old door opening where the hinges need oil. Some times it...

91 Civic Lower at Dr. Side Front... by
Elle
.... by about two inches. Car has 175k miles on it and engine
seems in great shape and is maintained pretty carefully IMO
by yours truly. The non-levelness is noticeable when
standing 30 feet or so from the car. Bounce test (pushing on
one side than the other of the front bumper) yields about
one...

88 PGMFI accessing PCV tube at crankcase? by
Eric
I disconnected the PCV Valve tube from the PCV Valve and cannot detect
any air flow so I think the tube may be blocked. Does this sound
reasonable?
I want to clean the tube by removing it and knocking any debris out of
it but I can't unfasten the tube from the crankcase. By sliding my
hand under...

No early first oil change by
Eye In The Sky
I've got a new Accord and my custom when buying a new car has always been
to change the oil at about 1000 miles. No doubt that's a hold over from the
bad old days when you had to get the metal chips and debris deposited during
the sloppy engine manufacturing process out of there. Unnecessary...

I am wondering what kind of transmission fluid to use as a replacement on
an 87 Prelude SI with a manual transmission. I got the car to work on the
clutch and have since taken out the transmission. I haven't been able to
find out easily online what sort of replacement fluid to use or if it
matter...

I love my new 2008 Accord EX-L! by
alfred[_3_]
Hi,
I went to yahoo auto and was reading some posts about people intersted in
the accord and was surprised to find so many with negative things to say
about the new 2008 accord. I saw some saying that the styling was old and
not attractive (even though it looks like a new BMW 535i, Cadillac CTS...

Mileage question by

air flow. I also had to drill out th three front screws that hold
down the air cleaner cover an replaced with nut/flange bolt config and
got the cover secure...

sealing hydraulic connections by
Abeness
Hydraulic connections (e.g. clutch, brakes) are self-sealing, right? No
compound for fear of contaminating the hydraulic fluid, and no
anti-seize for the same reason?

AT has better MPG than MT? by
Bucky
I was checking out the MPG, and I noticed that for the 2005 Civic EX
Special Edition, the AT has better highway gas mileage than the MT (38
vs 37). I can understand them being the same, but how can AT be higher
than MT? The AT even weighs 56 lbs...

90 Accord and broken power door locks by
Eric Hollins
So, here is my situation. I have a 1990 Accord EX coupe. When I
bought the car, the power door locks worked. Worked fine for about a
year. Then, one day they stopped working. I didn't think it was a
problem because they working the day after that. They worked fine for
about 2 weeks and then...

Can you pushstart MT 1991 Civic? by
[email protected]
I only ask because looking at the ECM PRG-EFI relay it
sure looks like it would be rather difficult to do.
Anone done it?
Just thinking about the time my starter died in my
1981 Subaru 4WD. I was parked on a hill, so it was easy
to slip it into reverse, roll backwards and pop the clutch.
I suspect...

Driver Seat , Transmission Roughness by

I bought my Honda Accord 2004 2 dr. 3 months ago. Car is still in

CRV's are crap by
JAS
We had a small snow storm on the east coast. I had never been home to see my
wife drive her car. The piece of crap 2001CRV could not get out of a few
inches of snow. The tires have less than 20k on them.
Needless to say we will be getting another SUV; a Jeep or maybe a FJCruiser.
I feel sorry for...

1996 Honda Accord EX - Fuel Consumption by
Freddy
Hi,
I recently bought a 1996 Honda Accord EX (Automatic gear, 4 cyl., 2.2
L). It has 240,000 km on it.
I have noticed that the gas consumption is a bit high, around
14L/100km or 16 mpg. which is very unusual as I know.
I'm not sure what is causing that, but would like to get your response
to it....

2000OdysseyLX
After having my remote lock/unlock (aftermarket) not work with my
Odyssey LX, I did some digging on google groups and found that I can
program the remote fobs by doing the following:
1. Put key in ignition
2. Turn key on
3. Press a lock or unlock button on the fob

Buying an older Odyssey by
tgeliot
I'm in the market for a car, and the 98 and earlier Odysseys seem like just
what I want in terms of size and functionality. Too bad 97 and earlier had
lawnmower engines. But in the 98 they put the VTEC, from the Accord, I
believe. But there are no 98s to be had. Could I get an older (95-97)
and...
