Yokohama Avid Ascend tires for 2009 Accord? by
David E. Powell
My dealer just replaced my tires for my 2009 Accord with Yokohama Avid Ascend 225/50 R17s.
My older tires were Michelins, and besides tread wear had cracking in the surface of the rubber. The service guy said the Yokohamas might be a bit more resistant to road salt induced surface cracking....

1991 Civic warm up time by
[email protected]
This is the 3rd winter I have owned this 1991
Civic. The first winter I owned it I replaced
the OEM thermostat because it took way too long
to warm up, and on really cold (-12F) days, the
engine temp gauge dipped when I would run the
heater wide open. It hasn't been that cold since
so I don't know...

Fog on winshield (inside) during winter (97 Accord) by
[email protected]
I have a 97 Honda Accord. I recently moved from a much warmer climate
to michigan where the winters are brutal. Often, I get a buildup of fog
on the inside windshield, sometimes frosty as well. It can take the
climate control cracked on high almost 30 minutes before it clears up.
I tried it with...

CRX no start and dying while driving :( by
[email protected]
So my '89 CRX HF with LS motor has been giving me a total headache.
Two years ago it died and would not start for a few months. I didn't
do anything with it since I had another car and no time to work on it.
But then one day it started up again. No problems for a year. The
weather turned really...

Question on Interior Metal Trim Kit by
Mitchell Freeman
Hello,
I am looking at purchasing a new Accord, and one of the options is this
interior metal trim kit. It looks awfully nice in the brochure, but I have
no idea how well it holds up under actual occupancy. Has anyone had one of
these kits that could share their experience with it? Imagine having...

2003 Windshield Replacement...HELP! by
2003HondaEXL
My front windshield needs to be replaced. The Honda dealer tells me that
there are two windshields for my car...one is $350 (made in USA) and the
other one, which is "recommended" according to my VIN is $850 (made in
Japan). I have searched high and low to verify what they are telling me
is the...

stupid crank pulley bolt by
disallow
OK I know its been posted like 1000 times, but I seriously
think that my pulley bolt is damaged or something, cuz no
matter what I do, it won't budge. So far I have tried:
1. 650ft/lb impact wrench with chain wrench and some
rubber belt wrapped around pulley to prevent it from
spinning. I broke...

'90 accord ecu codes 1 & 43 (fixed) by
Vlad Ciubotariu
Hi All,
My mechanic checked the fuel pressure (code 43) and found nothing wrong.
So we went to replace the O2 sensor with OEM and check engine light is now
gone. The car also `seems' to me to have better acceleration and smaller
rpms at high speeds.
My symptoms were a few random losses of power...

'91 Honda Accord SE radio/ tape player by
[email protected]
A few months ago I bought a CD player at Best Buy. They took out the
tape player/ radio that came with my '91 Honda Accord SE (very similar
to a LX) and installed a CD player. Today, at my request (and at
no-charge as part of the original installation charge), they took the
CD player out and...

'89 civic - no electrical at all, but sporadic! by
CAS
Hello group,
I have an '89 Honda Civic with 156k miles. Have owned it since '91 and
40k miles. I have seen a _very_ sporadic electrical problem since at
least '96, but it was at the once-a-year level, so I haven't done
anything about it. Here it is:
Sometimes, the car acts like the battery is...

2006 Accord Interior question by
[email protected]
Hi,
Several weeks ago I test drove an EX-L (4 cylinder I think - been test
driving lots of cars, so can't remember everything). It had the Ivory
interior and had faux wood trim.
I can not find anything in the sales brochure that mentioned the wood
trim. So I called the dealer, and although the...

Comment on car insurance by
Useful Info
*My consumer experience*
I've had insurance with Allegiance, Geico, Traveler's, and now Erie.
Geico was expensive. I knew I was paying for their prime-time TV ads.
I paid something like $1200 per year.
Traveler's was cheaper. I assumed it was the cheapest in town.
I paid $920 per year.
