New Honda Fit Concept 2009 by
[email protected]
Honda felt like it had such a successful launch with the Honda Fit
last year, that it already designed a new one. The new Fit looks a
little bigger than before, but i think it represents an evolutionary
rather than revolutionary change

rear parking brake adjustment by
Alex
Hi,
I recently changed the rear brake pads on my inlaws Acura TL 2.5.
Everything went well except that I wasn't sure how to adjust the
parking brake. I didn't want to just take up more cable on the
adjustment bolt. I just couldn't tell how to tighten the parking
brake cable again after I screwed...

FS. 1988 Hionda Accord LX - Only 69k miles. by
Alex
This is a 1988 Honda Accord LX 4 door sedan. Only has 68k miles on it,
see the pictures. It is in very good condition for the most part. There
is a 4X4 dent on the right fender, see the pictures. Runs well. There
is an small exhaust leak in the front pipe. The tires still have plenty
of tread left....

'78 Honda Civic -- temperamental direction signals
My '78 Honda Civic (1200) has developed temperamental direction
signals, and I
am at a loss how to cure it. Sometimes they work normally, but then
stop. Then resume.
Then stop again. Completely unpredictably. It seems that sometimes
quickly...

Steering Wheel vibration - 2005 CR-V LX 4WD by
Alex
We just got the 2005 CR-V LX 4WD. First day in it was back in the shop
-- for tire balancing and alignment (steering wheel was shaking at
55+mph and the car had a strong pull to the right).
This was addressed, so there is no pull...
Vibration, however, persists -- this one is not due tires...

when to change timing belt by
Alex Lee
Dear all:
My car is about 80,000 miles, civic 2002: the manaul recommends
110,000 for timing belt change, however I heard from someone to ignore
the recommendation and go ahead with at timing belt plus a tune up
before 80,000
-- since this is a very expensive investment I wanted to know...

1998 Accord vibration by
Alex Rodriguez
Recently I started to get a vibration in a 1988 Accord. The car has 65k miles
on it. I'm pretty sure the vibration started suddenly and was not something
that gradually got worse. As you approach 55mph the vibration starts to be
noticeable. Sometimes the vibration will go away for a little bit...

1988 Accord LX alternator by
Alex Rodriguez
It looks like I will be replacing the alternator on a 1988 Accord LX. I took
a quick peek and it looks tight under there. Any tips on changing the
alternator? Any good source for a replacement? Any brands to avoid? TIA.

FS: Tokico front struts for '88 Accord by
Alex Rodriguez
I got these used shocks a while back. I was lazy and before I got a chance to
put these the car I got a deal on set of 4 new ones, so these have just been
sitting around taking up space in my apt. I'm asking $70 OBO. I would also
consider trading for other parts for this car or front end parts...

High idle speed on 1988 Accord by
Alex Rodriguez
I got a call from my inlaws because thier 88 Accord LX was idling high. I
had changed the timing belt and alternator on this car about 5k miles ago.
No problems, except for a easily fixed squealing belt, after the work was
done. They recently took the car in to get inspected and the mechanic...

Exhaust help by
Alex Rodriguez
I decided to do a good deed and change the rusted center pipe on my inlaws 88
Accord. Of course this is turning into a bigger job than expexted. I finally
got pipe out but cutting and grinding the bolts that held the pipe to the cat
convertor. I thought I could just push the bolts out, but...

Electrical problems with 1993 Civic EX by
Alex58
Anybody out there have any suggestions? 93 Honda Civic speedometer and dash
lights will not function. Tach temperature and fuel gages operate fine. I
have replaced the speedometer head, but this did not help. Fuses are all
ok.Are there any controls or sensors in this circuit that I should check?

Alexis Ostapenko
Hi, All Responders:
THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR REPLIES!
I've learned so much from you.
Herewith are the results.
(My original request is at the bottom for reference.)

After I backed the shoes off to the maximum, the drum
just slid off the axle. (The linings were still OK to...
