'88 Accord idle speed by
[email protected]
I have an '88 Accord LX with just under 68k miles on it. I loaned this
car to my brother in-law to use until he got his new car. He had the
car for about 4 months. Before I loaned him the car, there were no
problems with the car. After he gave it back, there has been a funny
idle speed...

marker lights won't come on by
adrenalin26
My head lights, reverse and tail lights work but all the other lights won't
coime on. Is there a relay for that? I tried all the fuses and can't find
any problems anywhere. The turn signal work too so, I know that power is
getting to these lights. Any ideas?
Thanks

Need advice for purchasing new Honda by
Adrian
Hi,
I'd like to purchase a new Honda, preferably the Civic or Accord Hybrid, but
the 3yr/36000 mi warranty concerns me. I have 2 other other Hondas (90
Accord that I'm selling and, a 96 Civic) and they have been very reliable,
but hybrids are new types of engines, and I don't have any info...

2003 accord maintenance required light stuck on. by
[email protected]
My 2003 Accord has the "maintenance required" light on and it will not
reset. The car has 72,000 miles and in the past that light has come
on a few times when I forgot to reset it after an oil change. It has
always rest to off when I followed the procedure in the manual of
holding the trip...

Battery developments by
aekaaet5
Have you noticed the recent advances in battery development. The
lithium-ion and new designs for Ni-Cad are very impressive. We are on
the way to quickly ramp up the hybrid and full electric vehicles. Look
out gasoline price jabbers!

Integra '93 - won't start by
aerorea
I have an Integra 93 with 120K miles on it, and a lot of rust, thanks
to the Vermont roads. About four months ago, while driving on highway,
my car had a sudden and short power loss: the tachometer fell to zero,
but then the car kept going for another month (100 miles or so) with
no starting...

Click sound from wheels, Integra by
aerorea
Hi!
For last couple months, I am hearing a periodic click - click sound
that appears to be coming from the front wheels. The sound goes away
when I press the break pedal a little bit. This sound disappears
sometimes completely, and changes its loudness from time to time.
Lately, I am hearing the...

Honda Element: another minor gripe by
AES
Just did a 300 mile trip, San Jose to Santa Barbara on 101, and learned
that the noise level from heavy rain impacting the roof is REALLY LOUD.
Seems to come mostly from the front section of the roof, pretty much
independent of speed. Combine it with the usual tire and wiper noise
associated with...

Noise-suppressing carpets for Honda Element? by
AES
One weakness of the generally lovable Honda Element is interior noise,
including notably road noise coming up through the hard flooring.
I suspect this could be helped quite a bit by some thick carpeting.
Does anyone have experience in doing this, or pointers to sources for
carpeting specifically...

Honda Element: small (but serious) defect by
AES
I continue to be very fond of our new Honda Element, but there's one
small but serious defect (for me, anyway).
Under a wide range of daytime lighting conditions I just can't see the
speedometer markings and accurately read the vehicle speed.
The speedometer is deeply recessed in a cylindrical...

The Element is NICE! by
AES
Just got to drive my wife's new 2005 Element. It's spacious, quiet,
solid-feeling, nicely laid out, good visibility, responsive steering,
peppy engine, good radio (satellite ready), smooth cruise control, lots
of handy features. Once you get used to its odd looks and design it's a
great car, and...

Honda Element right door lock: unsafe? by
AES
Just noticed that when the right-hand door of our Element is locked,
pulling out on the door-opening latch doesn't pop the lock button up and
allow you to open the door; you have to reach awkwardly behind your
right shoulder and lift the lock button up (even when car is in Park,
but ignition key is...

Unknown switch assembly. by
afedakendragon
I'm trying to clean out the back room of the shop, so of course it's
e-bay time for all those random parts that are lying around.
I've run across a Honda wiring harness with part number 35700-SE0-A02.
A quick check on www.slhondaparts.com reveals it to be a "Switch
Assembly". But of course,...

Oil warning system on Honda Accord - 2.2 Diesel by
aft
Can anyone please advise if there is a oil warning light that comes on to
warn the driver if the oil level is low on a Honda Accord 2.2 Diesel?
If there is one at what point would it come on and how long would you have
before the engine is damaged?

Civic 97 --- falining power steering by
Agent Smith
Hi guys,
For a couple of days I've been having weird issues with steering. When
I get in the car in the morning I noticed I could turn the steering
wheel either all the way to the right or to the left, but the car
would go in a straight line! I feels like driving on ice. I presume if
power...

Accord 05 VP Poor Gas Mileage by
[email protected]
I bought an Accord '05 Value Package (AT, 5 Speed) in August last year.
Since then I've been trying to measure my gas mileage. The sticker on
the car showed the EPA estimate as 24(city)/34(hwy) mpg. Now, I've been
driving mostly on highways since. I would split it as 70% hwy, 30%
city. Yet, I've...
