Tyre profile by
Steve Hill
Hi
Me and my 146 live in France and for some reason the size of tyre we require
195 x 15 x 55 is double the cost of a similar tyre with a profile of 50 or
60.
Would anyone know any reasons why I shouldn't fit a different profile tyre.
Which axle it they would be best on (only require 2 tyres for...

Paging MeatballTrubo the second by
Catman
Went to see the guy that used to look after all my cars today. Although
he's not in the trade anymore, he still has the passion
Currently he has what looks like a *very* tidy 75 TS that he's looking to
sell on.
White, just been MOTed, aftermarket alloys, interior looks OK. Not looked
over it...

Tyre Advice, Please. by
Ross
Hi All
I'm due 2 new tyres on the front of my 147 1.6 soon and would appreciate
some advice.
It's currently fitted with Goodyear Eagle NCT5's which give great grip and
feel but I'd like some more life (16K miles and down to 2mm) and they are a
bit noisy on a lot of surfaces.
I'm tempted to stick...

Slightly O/T, but... by
Dr Entropy
A friend/neighbor acquired a '79 Fiat Spider a few months ago (October), for next-to-nothing.
Body in fair shape (no GAPING holes), interior nice, engine not running...
supposedly some "electrical trouble." She thought it would be a bit of
this-an'-that to get it going, so being neighborly I...

146 Question by
Alex C
Hi,
Just bought a 1997 P 146 1.8TS without seeing it (I know, but the old 'must
have Alfa' mist descended on me). Got it cheap enough £1000 plus tax. It's
champagne with black velour. What differences are there between this and my
old 146 1.6TS please guys?
Plus it only has the one key, major...

Must We Put Up With This Filth? by
Halmyre
Joke in this month's Classic and Sportscar:
Q. What is the difference between a skip and an Alfa?
A. The skip gets moved twice a week.
Accompanied by a photoshopped picture of a 75 bootlid with the badge
modified to read T_SKIP.
Tut tut tut.

tyre issue by
Tom Asselman
Hello,
After 45 000 km's with the factory Firestone Firehawks I'll soon have to buy
4 new tyres for my 156 Sportwagon.
I'd love a set of Goodyear Eagle F1's but I expect them to be too expensive.
Are they really worth the money?
Another option I'm considering are Pirelli P6000's (an alfa fits best...
