cummins 4bta by Smokeyone
Has anyone experience of the four cyclinder cummins. I am thinking about dropping one into a 4 x 4. Was also wondering about the weight and would it be happy cruising at around 1500rpm/60 mph. Thanks Smokeyone

1964 CJ6 Tuxedo Park Mark IV by Charlie5533
Am restoring this Jeep for grins. It is physically longer both overall and wheelbase than a CJ5 or CJ7. Has a column mounted three speed and the I-4 engine. My question is, how much trouble will it be to upgrade powertrain. Would like a larger engine to aid highway cruising. Any info will be...

Land Cruiser 100/Lexus LX470 Modifications by Rhett
Is there any infomation or FAQ out there for modifications to the LC 100 series, or the LX470 in particular? Things like suspension lifts, and the like? I know that it's not popular as a "serious" off-road vehicle, but other IFS vehicles such as the 4Runner still have lots of suspension options...

Top Five roof rack for Jeep Wrangler by Scott
I've been looking at roof racks to buy for my 97 wrangler and was wondering if anyone has any experience with the Top Five rack? According to the website and the instructions that they sent me, it is possible to remove the soft top without taking the rack off. What I wanted to find out was if...

CJ8 transmission lubrication by [email protected]
1982 Jeep CJ8 -- 6 cylinder, 4 speed Transmission shifts and works well. What should I be using as lubricant in the transmission? The shop manual refer's me to a "Special Lubricant" (which is no longer available). And there are references to using automatic transmission fluid (ATF).

I'm looking for an off road video for some automated driving research. Ideally it would: - be captured through the front window - be a few minutes long (or separate videos combined) - have mild terrain passable by a stock 4x4 sport utility (such as dirt roads) Any suggestions for AVI, MPG files...

1999 F-350 by Shawn
I just bought a 1999 Ford F-350 and I had a question or two about lifting it. I am trying to decide whether to get a leveling kit or put on a 4 inch suspension kit. Does anyone have any suggestions? Pro/Cons? Also, what size tire can fit under each of those options? I use my trucks for hunting but...

Michelin reduces civil production to satisfy military.... by Willem-Jan Markerink
Odd note from the tire industry.... Seems the military involved around the globe burns their Michelin tires at a too high rate to leave any for the civil market.... (I guess tire size makes no difference either, they probably shift all capacity to the most demanded (large truck?) size (the civil...
