2011 Mustang Gets New 6.2-Liter Motor by [email protected]
According to C&D, the current 300HP 4.6 will power the restyled 2010 Mustang. The 2010 restyling job will change the current "'65-'67 look" to a more "modern" '69-'70 body style. In fact, it -- the 2010 model -- looks SO MUCH like the '69-'70 models it's VERY easy to already envision Mach 1 and...

89 GT idle adjust? IAC spacer by [email protected]
After replaced IAC still wouldnt idle so installed IAC spacer and it runs pretty good at 12 BTDC, TPS is set low, fuel pressure about 35-40 psi. Only thing now is when stopping, put the clutch in and brake, when the RPMs hit bottom it will die if I dont feather the gas. Tried to adjust IAC spacer...

66 Mustang brakes gone, master cylinder cap rubber gasket has grownin size? by hillpc
Got a buddy of mine's 66 Mustang over here to troubleshoot no brakes, among other problems. Manual drums. Been sitting for several years. Master cylinder empty, front drivers brakes all dirty and gunked up, looking oily, so I suspect wheel cylinder slight leak. No other obvious leak points,...

Chrysler sells all 6400 Dodge Challenger muscle cars by $27 TRILLION to pay for Kyoto
A much-needed $260 million shot in the arm for Chrysler Canada. 6.1 litres, 425hp, mileage like a Durango SUV. But do you know why this is no threat to the environment? Because none of the buyers of these cars are going to use it as a daily driver. They will see weekend use in the summer, like...

'06 Mustang GT Convertible Windows by Ken Zwyers
I'm hoping that someone can help me out there. I'm positive that my '06 Mustang GT Convertible had a feature where, if I put the front windows up while the back windows were down, the front windows would go to the top, and then drop down approximately halfway, as a reminder to me that the back...

The Only Difference Between Winners And Loosers by [email protected]
Most people who don’t have success in life wonder about how this is possible. Why do some have all the luck and others barely make enough money to get to the end of the month. All over the world thousands of books are written and translated about how to become successful, how to achieve whatever...

Weirdest Mustang I ever saw by elaich[_3_]
It's for sale locally. '88 LX. Color scheme: Above the beltline: burgundy Between beltline and side moulding: burnt orange Below the side molding: gun metal grey It's very odd looking. Was this from the factory? I don't remember them doing many multitone color schemes at all in that era.

89 GT Idle Air Control unit testing? by [email protected]
Is it possible to test an IAC to see if its bad? Or to test to see if signal is going through it? Also, it looks like the wire harness connection is 2 positives and then the negative ground is through the bolts to the throttle body? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks,

89 4-cyl; no power at low RPM by dalemstevens
Problem: Car has little power at low RPM, but as the RPMs climb the power is fine. Its almost like one should rev the engine before letting out on the clutch in order to get the car to take off from a stand still. Any ideas what could be the problem? Background: I've been helping a friend get his...

'65 coupe 6cyl tranny issue by Andrew Croft
Hi everyone, Now that the weather in Ontario is nice I have been driving my '65 coupe to work every day and I'm loving it! Some recent engine work and carb tuning has made it enjoyable again! Still, as the engine gets hotter and hotter the transmission begins to slip. Slip to the point of... if...

Tail light louvers by jonezzzman[_2_]
Can someone tell me more about the tail light louvers for late 80's early 90's? I've seen them on 88 GT's. What do they mean? Are they an option or were they only on specific year(s)? Can I buy just the louvers or do I have to get the whole tail light assembly?

302 or 351W by [email protected]
I have purchased a 70 mustang with a 351w out of a ford torino. The car starts up and moves but was back firing out the carb as well as falling on its face after a short distance. The car smells like its running rich I was thinking that the car was loading up and that the timing was off. After...

Widening wheels by Brad and Karen
Anyone on here ever widened a wheel by having it cut and and a new piece welded in? I'm guessing not, but having a 93 Cobra, there are VERY few choices for this car in the 4 lug with the right backspace, that don't look like the wheels off that guy's car in Escape from LA... you kids may not...

Intake for a 5.0 by Jim C[_2_]
I think I have a bad head gasket on an 89 5.0. I had posted to this group a while ago asking for diagnosis tips, and a pep talk on doing it myself. I got lots of good tips, but I guess I'm still chicken. I'm probably going to break down and have it done. While the shop has the intake off, what...

89 Mustang wheels by Hawkeye65
I was wondering whether a Ford Escort's (1989/1990) 15' rims would fit my Mustang? It currently has 14' wheels and I'd like to change to 15' rims. I've heard the 15' are more common, and thus cheaper. Can anyone confirm, or deny, this? Thanks, Hawkeye65
