RAMFM - How I remember thee... by A Guy Named Steve
Wow, I haven't visited anything related to USENET in quite a while. I didn't even set it up when I got my current laptop. I thought I'd stop by ol' RAMFM and see if it was still alive. I guess it is, however nothing like the good ol' days... I was amazed to see through the Google Groups stats...

AOD problems.... by Aphel Aura
Hi, I thought I'd throw it out here before committing to any costly repairs (i.e. tranny rebuild, ouch).... I also did a search in this group but don't really know if what I found really applies to me. Lately, the AOD on my 89' Mustang LX has been slipping into neutral at low-speeds, especially...

C4 trans problems by ron[_3_]
HI all, Hoping I can get a little help here. I have a 73 Bronco rebuilt 302 and C4 with about 2000 miles on both. Got in it yesterday and noticed my kid probably had moved the transfer case shifter. I moved it back to 2wd backed out of the garage. When I put trans into park there was slight...

Hello I am new to this group and I want to say hello. I am working on a 1965 Mustang Convertible and I am in need of some help. Has anybody out there removed the inner or outer wheelhouse assemblies from there older Mustangs? I have already cut out the spot welds, but, in doing so I noticed...

Mustang power window bounce back calibration does not workwhen following owners guide. (FIX) by Thomas Hart[_1_]
Hello, thought I'd share this fix I found on the Internet for power windows on 2005 - 2007 Mustangs. This happened to me last week when I hadn't driven the car for 4 days or so due to the holidays, the damn battery went partially dead. The owners manual calibration wouldn't work - it kept bouncing...

86 GT 5.0 Idle Question by LR
I have a 1986 Mustang GT 5.0 with the five speed manual trans. After warm up and when idling, the engine idle speed "surges" (ie. it varies up and down, slightly, but noticeably). Anyone had any experience with this, what is the matter and what I might do to correct it? Thanks a bunch. Larry

Exhaust system for 2007 GT ************* by Joe Cool
Hey I would like to get an exhaust system to get a deeper, throatier sound out of my GT. I see where Ford Racing has 2 systems around $300 which basically just replace from the convertor to the rear. One is legal in 49 states the other 50 states. I don't know if these are the best options, but any...

"We build very goory Charrenger!" by [email protected]
This should put a damper on sales of any retro vehicles in the U.S. In a slap at U.S. workers, DaimlerChrysler is making a deal with a Communist Chinese automaker. DaimlerChrysler says it will join forces with Chery Automobile to produce a line of small cars because it cannot make money by...

'79 Thermostat by JohnO
I helped my son replace the thermostat in his Mustang today, assuming that his 'no heat' problem was typical. We bought a 'stat from Autozone that claimed to be original equipment. The first thing we did when we got home was drop the "bad" 'stat in a pot of water with the good one, and fire up the...

Chrome or No Chrome... That Is The Latest Question by [email protected]
We all know the Mustang is a hot car right now. Sales are way up and interest in the iconic pony is at near record highs. Seems much of the recent success is due to Ford borrowing styling cues from Mustangs past. But how much/often should Ford dip into history? The previous generation Mach 1...
