Shocks for a stock Civic? by
Mauricio Tavares
I want to get some shocks for a 91 Civic. This car is stock and will
never see track time; it is the quintessential daily driver. The only
time it sees hard work is that it has to drive a dirt road where I have
gone airborne before with my first car. So, no lowering for it. Based
on that,...

More money for a 'Total-Loss' claim? 8287 by
Art[_1_]
If you don' think you are getting a fair deal, search locally for the
identical car that you just totaled and tell the insurance company that you
need the same bucks that it will cost to buy it or you are filing a
complaint with your state insurance regulator. Always worked for me though
I...

extended warratny for Honda Civic LX 2007? by
cosza
Hi
I just bought the 2007 civic LX A/T. I am thinking of the extended warranty
for 7years/130000 km for 1000$ Canadian. What do you guys think , are people
taking it. Basic warranty is 3 year for bumper to bumper and 5 years for
powertrain and tranny. I have had two Hondas before 93 Civic and...

CR-V's ... problems w/ rear diffs and engine oil leaks ? by
Ron
Hello -
I had been considering an Element but now believe maybe a 4wd CR-V may
be in order. However, in researching the CR-V, a few alarming points
keep coming up :
1) Bad rear differentials on '07's. Seems like loads of trouble here.
Bad lube ? There was a recall (beginning of Feb ?). Is...

What's the difference between these two Honda radios? by
[email protected]
Looking at replacing my current Honda radio and wondering if anyone
can tell me what the difference is between the 39100-S84-A300 and
39100-S82-A300?
Very little information on the web. In fact, it someone knows a site
where I can find manuals online, that'd be great!
As always, thanks for the...

Dash Light/ Speedometer Fuses by
Theodore Kaplan
My dash board lights went out on my 05 element, as well as the speedometer
itself. I looked through the manual to see which fuse might be involved,
but none is labeled for dashboard lights or for speedo opeeration. Anyone
have any ideas on the subject? Thanks in advance.. Ted

seatbelts locking by
Dave[_34_]
perhaps his has been discussed before, but I've missed it if so...
but these belts are really annoying us - the dealer says it's a "feature" -
we've got an '04 Accord
the belts will occasionally lock up tight to a person and/or lock when you
are trying to get them done up (before you can latch...

98 Civic - Possible electrical problem? by
[email protected]
I've had an intriguing issue with my 98 Civic, and thought I might
describe it here, and see if anyone has some insight as to what could
be going on with the car.
Short story: poor fuel economy, alternator test suggests bad
alternator (175 amps?!?!), occasional dimming of lights, otherwise...

stock suspension by

does anybody know what would be the stock spring rate on a 2002 civic sedan
lx? Is 150/150 pretty close? All I'm getting of google is that such and
such aftermarket spring would be stiffer than....bla bla bla..... but I just
can't find the actual specs. Honda doesn't seem to know or give out...

honda civic 1998 lx rear windshield window tint removal by
[email protected]
The tint on my 1998 civic lx finally bubbled after 8 years. Only on
the rear window. The other windows are great. I decided to remove it
and have done a fairly nice job- windex and removed most of the glue.
However I am stumped as to how to remove the tint right behind the
third brake light. and...

Protect Your CR-V's Spare! by
Scott
Hello Honda enthusiasts! I just wanted to take a moment to let fellow
CR-V owners know about an especially maddening rash of
automobile-related thefts that have been going on in my area, and which
may soon spread to other regions ... if it hasn't already!
I live in suburban Buffalo, New York...

Lots of work on a 99 Accord by
[email protected]
I bought my 99 Accord LC, 4 cyl, 5-speed in October of 1998. After 8
1/2 years the car has approx 158k miles on it. Other than tires,
brakes, regular oil changes and a tune-up at 95k miles the car has
never had any major work done to it. The ignition switch was
replaced as part of the recall...

Integra '93 - won't start by
aerorea
I have an Integra 93 with 120K miles on it, and a lot of rust, thanks
to the Vermont roads. About four months ago, while driving on highway,
my car had a sudden and short power loss: the tachometer fell to zero,
but then the car kept going for another month (100 miles or so) with
no starting...

Haven't been on this thread in a few years since selling a '91 Accord
leaving driveway strictly 'Yota. However the '86 Runner is getting long

her in the nice car but now its my turn.
Stopped by a few dealers Sunday (Closed...

Thanks for the answers. The local Honda service manager told me Honda

Isuzu tech on staff for the crossbreeds.

an overall average but got worse from...

Hi,
I recently purchased a 93 Honda Civic on the very cheap end of the scale. In
general the vehical seems very good except for the following issue.
When the engine is started a scratching noise is heard, on inspection it
appears to be coming from the left side of the engine. This seems to...

Civic for tall people: pedal/seat customizations? by

Hi,
I'm tall and have found that I can't find a comfortable seat position
in my civic that allows me to reach both the pedals and steering
wheel comfortably. If my hands are at a comfortable position, then my
legs are scrunched up, and if my legs are at a comfortable position,
then my arms need...
