Hi all, There are different tranny fluids recommended by different manufacturers. How critical is it to have the particular fluid in that brand of vehicle, and what would the consequences be if a different type was used ? Any ideas or bad experiences ? i.e.. GM=Dexron; Ford=Mercon, etc. TIA

Has anyone had trouble starting a 1988 or any C4 model corvette weather hot or cold intermittently. I changed the cold start injector valve, gave it a tune up, but it still at times will not start unless I crank it a dozen or so times.

This morning my copy of the GM Owner Loyalty eMail arrived. Large print offered an extra three-grand off existing dealer price and financing offers, good thru 2/9/09. Way down at the bottom of the message it "shrank" to only $1,000 on a 2008 or 2009 Corvette. *-(

I have a 2001 C5 Coupe and we are having hard time seeing the dim AC display that shows temp. I can turn up the dash lights to max and the display is still hard to see in the daylight. Is there a lamp and can it be replaced?

'92 Roadster. Seems my front speakers of the stock Bose™ system has developed a "squeal" that isn't dependant on the signal. I can turn the volume to zero and it doesn't affect the squeal's volume. Sounds like it might be a capacitor meltdown. Anyone ever experienced this? TIA
