Confused by the numbers. by
Chuck Townsley
I have a strange '77 Type 2 Microbus. My daughter would tell you that
it is very strange, but for different reasons. :-)
It was built and sold in Germany, so some <most> of the parts don't
follow the same lines as '77 microbus' sold here in the US. I have
already asked some questions on here...

Killed my battery by
Marco
Hi,
I killed my battery this weekend by overcharging it.
Trying to find a new one. Who can recommend a good one?
I am looking for one with about 105 minutes RC. I think it must be a
group size 42 that fits in. Is this right?
Thanks,

Heater cables by
Ryan J. Mills
I'm trying to replace the cables that work the heat levers in my '74
beetle sedan, as one of them snapped recently. However, I can't get
the new cables through the tubes. The tubes are bent close to where
the cables are supposed to exit and I'm pretty sure that's where
they're getting hung up. I...

A pillar repair by
Mike64Bug
I've been looking for a second project to work on along with my
running/driving '64 Bug. I found what I thought might be a good
candidate for a complete body off resto project but the car has sat
for a long time and the lower corners of the windshield have rust.
The driver side rusted through and...

Abandoned vehicle question by
Braukuche
I live in So Cal and noticed recently a early Porsche (mid '50s model I
estimate) on the street which has now three parking tickets on it for expired
registration. I left a note on the car earlier this week that I would be
interested in buying the car, assuming that the owner must have lost...

FS '74 Bus Seattle Area by
Busahaulic
I ran across a very good base for a project bus. Seattle area. If
interested, I'll get more info. Half-assed interested myself. Will need
complete reworking but pretty much no rust and what body damage there is, is
minor. Pop top. Has not been run for somewhere about 7 years. -Bah

Air Filter Deck Lid Clearance problem by
Spike
Hi,
I having a bit of a problem with the air filter in my 1500cc 1968 Type 1
(duel air inlet type).
As I understand it normally you can just pop the top off the air filter and
check the level of oil in the filter.
But after putting my engine back in I don't seem to have enough clearance
between...

Some questions by
Jeff Kleier
I recently picked up another Beetle to add to the stable; this time, a
beautiful '65. Here's the plan: I want to make it into a great German
Looker. Here are the questions:
1) what is the largest tire/wheel combo that I
can run without rubbing the fenders? I can
get the front beam narrowed,...

009 Distributor by
69' Dune Buggy 1600cc
In the bigger bore and stroke engines such as 2000+, 2100+, etc. what
type of distributor advance is needed(type 1 engines)?
The 009 seems to be the "fix-all" however the original 1600's had so
many variation of the timing curve that it only makes sense that larger
size engines would have their own...
