High top camper --> Ice cream van --> Fun! by
Bart Bervoets
I converted my high top camper in an ice cream van (and don't worry, it was
not a
westfalia interior but some home made crap interior).
Kids (and adults) love it here and i'm doing quite well on sales.
Now if the weather stays good...
Brings again an old bus in town, people do stare a lot at it and...

Removing screws that will not come out. by
Noice87
The screw that holds the circular metal piece around the head light
will not come out. I am sure it is stripped now as my dad tried to
drill it out. Any ideas? The left one came out just fine. I need it
out so I can finish removing the fender.
Thanks Steven

Popping off the ventilation grilles? by
Mike Rocket J. Squirrel Elliott
The round ventilation grilles on the dash of a 71 bus . . . how do you
get them off? I have what sounds to be a playing card or a bat or
something rattling around down the driver's side vent tube when the
Wonderbus is at highway speed. Can't see anything, need to pull the
grille and fish around...

Electrical Problem Solved 6v slow start by
Tom Nakashima
It's been over a week of checking the electrical circuit with a volt meter.
With the advice of this group, I was able to perform a trace check. Only it
wasn't anything anyone suggested, as I had triple checked everything that
could possibly be checked, and the funny thing is, everything checked...

Yellow gunk in oil filler tube by
[email protected]
I opened up my oil filler tube today, for the first time in a few
months, and noticed a huge buildup of this nasty yellow gunk. The car
has been running great, and is only about 2,000 miles on the mobile 1
10w30 synthetic oil. Anybody have any idea what this is from, and if
it's a problem? Oh yea,...

78 camper Dual Battery Question by
Matthewd
Folks,
I have recently acquired a 78 camper. It seems to slowly drain the battery
over a period of a few weeks. I only have the ignition battery installed.
The aux. battery is not in place with just the bare terminal connectors
lying on the battery tray area.
My question is this: could the aux....

to explain the whole thing,...

Wiper Squeak by
Mike Rocket J. Squirrel Elliott
Problems are like jello: you push down in one area and stuff squirts out
another.
A few weeks ago I posted a method to add intermittent (delay) operation
to wipers. It's been drizzly here in San Diego county and I gotta say
that having intermittent wiper operation is a delight in the...

Removing wires... by
Noice87
I recently purchased a 68 and 69 VW Bug Autostick and am in the process
of taking the body parts off the 69 to remove the paint and prime. I
've got the Hood and Bumber off and the bolts out of the front left
wheel cover but how do I detach the wires to the lights and turn signal
lights? I know...

Atlanta, GA: Fighting the man! (zoning enforcement) by
[email protected]
It is a sad day, my crazy old neighbor has turned me in to DeKalb
zoning. A zoning officer left a note on my door telling me that I can
not have any "inoperable" vehicles.
I have 2 beetles, the first one is ugly but runs. The second beetle
does not have an engine, the front two fenders are...
