American cars by Dave
It time to break out those old cars and get them fixed up, and back on the road again, if we just let these old cars rot in to a pile of dust. We will lost a lot, we need to keep our cars up and running, we need to show these non-American Americans what's up. I know we still have some pride left in...

Problems putting power brakes on 67 Camaro by lcifers
My brother put a brake booster on his 67 Camaro to convert to power brakes, but the brakes are way too sensitive. the car has a high performance engine that probably pulls much more vacuum than stock. Could this be the problem? Is there a device to limit the vacuum to the booster? Thanks. - Luther

Question about buying an old car by WinterInAmerica
Hi there. I would be very interested in anyone's opinion on this matter. I am looking to buy my first car (always lived in philly, used public trans for years before this). I really would like my first car to be a mid-60s era cadillac. My friends think this is a phenomenally bad idea. Folks point...

restoration Alfa Spider 1975 by BERG L.
Hello, Lucky as I am, someone will offer me a 1975 ALfa Spider Fastback (metal dashboard). The car is in a very poor condition: interior, chassis... Motor and back seem to be OK. The ALfa-restoration specialist in whose backyard the car is for the moment tells me it will cost about 13-14.000 Euros...

Certificate Of Destruction in Florida by BadBow99S10
I live in Florida, the only state I know of that has Certificates Of Destruction. I found a classic 1977 Triumph Spitfire convertible that has some flood damage. There is also some damage to the passenger side door. Besides that, there isn’t much damage to it. I could easily have it in road-worthy...

67 Cougar Engine Numbers Question by Stephen Read
I'm buying a 67 Cougar which has had the original 289-4V motor replaced with a 79 vintage 302. I know where the original engine is but does it have any value? I know that Chivvy guys like their matching numbers but I thought that Fords only had casting dates and not VINs on the block. Also,...

flooding Strombersgs on a Triumph GT6 by Rob. Smith
So We've stripped down and cleaned the carbs fully, but the things still leak fuel like nobodies business. We can't get them to stop overflowing. Are we missing something? They are the Stromberg 150s, with the fuel bypass choke if that snags someones distant memory of tips 'n' tricks with these...

Hello all. I have a 1913 Mercer Raceabout 35J, which has been in the family for about 35 years. I am interested in finding any information about these vehicles, as the information I currently have is very limited. I know it is either a 1912 or 1913 model because it is a 3 speed, and the 4...
