SJ413 stalls when I break by Nigel Kerr
Hey anyone got an idea why a Suzuki SJ 413 would stall when breaking? I cant see any splits in the vacuum pipes to the servo unit. It has the Webber carb fitted and restarts ok after stall. Nigel.

I need some guidance. by nightrider.36
I'm trying to figure out a a way to get deeper into the desert and a 4x4 is it. ( Anza Borrego National Park in Southern California). I've never owned a 4x4 vehicle and I'm not even sure if the difference between that and an all-wheel drive vehicle. But less than that, I'm having a difficult...

starting problem with 87 bronco,part 3 by nkbronco
Hi, thanks for the help. Ok, that booster trick worked, hooking the postive battery post to the starter side of selanoid made the starter spin, I just touched it for a sec, the starter did spin, but the engine didn't turn over at all, weird, I put the starter in tight and it fit right, don't know...

starting problem with 87 bronco,part 2 by nkbronco
I cleaned every connection, got starter tested, its ok. Still nothing when I turn the key, battery fully charged, all other electrical works. I couldn't get to the negative ground on block, so I bought a new negative cable and grounded it on the bolt on the emissions pump bracket. I am stumped...

My 87 Bronco XLT 5.8 liter 4V H.O. went completely dead, everything, after a split second of the starter engaging. The battery showed full charge. I replaced the cylanoid, and now have headlights, heater fan, radio, etc. all working, battery fully charged, but turning the key to turn it over does...

using 4x4 question by Nobody
I have a question about my 94 F150 4x4 manual 5 speed trans. As most here probably know ford has 2 hi 4 hi N and 4 low on the transfer case. Plus I also have manual locking hubs. Now I find myself wanting to use low range now and then but not the 4x4. So I just leave the hubs unlocked for a 2...

transmission question by Nobody
I would like some opinions about my idea of increasing the life of my automatic tranny. When I run up on slow changing lights or stoped traffic like at train tracks I like to shift my tranny into N. Do you feel this reduces wear or actually increases wear or does not make any difference. Im...

Alternator Question by Nobody
This may seem like a stupid question. But can anybody tell me why ford or any other auto makers would mount the Alternators at the bottom of the engines so it can take a bath in what ever the tire slings at it. Now I will say I never had any problems with this setup yet. But It just sounds like...

94 Wrangler hard shifts.... by none
I have 80,000 on my AX-5 tranny and shifting into first gear is very difficult. If I rev the engine a little the gear will eventually engage. I have no grinding so I thinking the syncros are fine. Would this be a sign that the clutch is not fully disengaging? Should I start with a fluid...
