Brera by Paul Woodsford
When the Brera goes on sale in the UK, which would be the best model to go for, the 2,2 petrol or the 2.4 Diesel. The 3+ litres would be outside my budget. Any advice from the experts would be most welcome. -- Paul Woodsford Remove NOSPAM to reply.

Info on Alfa 166 2.5 year 2000 and 3.0 year 1999 by alfatechnician
Timing belt changes are at 72,000 miles (110,000 km) but it is a good idea to change well before (every 90,000 km)......Should cost less than 500 euros......Not many problems with these cars...........Check for blue smoke on the 1999 car when it starts up as this indicates high oil...

156 Heater problem by Postmaster
re 156 SW 2.5 Q Dec 2000 My heater has packed up. It will only produce red hot air what ever the setting of the temperature control. Even with the fan off the cab gets unbearably hot. I guess the thermostat has packed up. Does anybody know where it is located? Any advice gratefully received.

Time for a new set of rubber on my 156 2.0L. All 4 tyres (205/60/R15 V) are hitting the wear marks. Up to now I've always used Michelin Pilot Primacy, these being the original equipment on my year 2000 car. But now I have the chance to try something else as the whole set need swapping. The...
