wheel bearings by NigelM
I've replaced the front wheel bearings in my 93 LX a couple of times ( 218K daily driver) but this time the driver side won't stop squeaking except when I brake. What causes the squeak? I had new races pressed in and hand packed the bearings. Any ideas?. thx

Anybody know where I can get some plug wires for my 98 GT for a decent price? I've checked eBay for Ford Racing 9mm wires... $90 buy it now + $8 shipping. Seems a tad high to me. -Mike -- A happy kid behind the wheel of a 98 Mustang GT Cold air intake FRPP 3.73 gears

The Story Behind Lightning Cancelation by [email protected]
Per Hemmings: Lightning Cancelation - Lightning was originally planned for a mid '06 release as '07 model. - Development of GR-1 sports car then pushed release date back to '08. - New F-150 is a due to be "refreshed" in '09. - The "refreshening" would have made the Lightning a one-year...

Crazy Horse on the auction block by Shawn McClelland
I wouldn't touch that car after seeing it build. What a hack job!! Prime example of what you can hide with paint. Looks nice though. Worth maybe 40G if your lucky!! Dinsdale wrote: >On Thu, 9 Dec 2004 14:40:05 -0500, "Rich" > wrote: > >

WANTED: Excell Transmission Shop by Jacques
I need an excellent transmission shop in Ottawa: competent and knowledgeable ... experienced ... trustworthy ... and well-equipped. I'm (probably) about to buy a 99 Tarus Wagon with high mileage. It's at least possible the transmission fluid/filter has never been changed. I'm aware that this could...

Ottawa Area Mustang Owners by Rod
I'm currently stripping down my '87 Mustang Cobra GT to use as a donor for a Factory Five Mk III kit car. (Before anyone goes off on the idea of this, the chassis is quite rotted out.) Anyway, I have quite a few interior pieces as well as all of the original body trim pieces (bumpers,...

Clutch question by XS11E
I'm thinking of getting a Mustang with a 5 speed, I've been looking at 1985-1993 convertibles because they're much more in my price range than the later ones. I'd like a 5 speed but I drove one and the clutch seems very stiff for my arthritic knee. Is there some way to make the clutch lighter? ...

Debut Of Next Mustang Cobra Delayed, Again? by [email protected]
Again, per Hemmings: - Speculation had a 400 hp, IRS-equipped Cobra debuting in '06 . - Fact had it arriving in calander year '06 as an '07 model. - But now the '07 model date is "in danger". - Now it may debut in '08. While I'd rather wait to make sure Ford gets it right (we don't want or need...

Winter Storage: Change Oil? by Fao, Sean
For those of you that store your car over the winter, do you drain the oil and put fresh in and then change it again come spring? I was told once that oil turns acidic through time and that it wasn't a good idea to let it sit for more than three months. Is this true? Thank you, -- Sean
