65 Dodge Polara by
Marcy
My husband is looking for a gas gauge for a 1965 Dodge Polara. It doesn't
have to be original and can be aftermarket. Does any one have a good source
for Mopar parts?

1962 Galaxie snapped axle by
BAD LUCK
Hello,
I have a 1962 Galaxie that has a 9 inch rear. My question is I have a
snapped axle and still have about for inches of the spline in the rear.
Any ideas how to remove this broken piece? I have removed both axles,
but just need a way to get the broken one out.
Thanks

help author by

I am a writer who knows what I don't know, and I don't know antique cars.
One of my characters in this late 1948 story is male, slightly disreputable,
and very welathy. He owns three cars. What should they be? A brand new one,
probably, and I realize none were made during the war, so perhaps the...

chrome question by
Nate Nagel[_2_]
Hi all,
need an opinion on something here. Basically I need to know if I'm
being too picky or if i have a legitimate complaint. A couple months
ago I sent some pot metal parts to a fairly well known chrome shop to be
replated. Cost was not really an object; finding a plater that would be...

Spitfire 1500 Houndstooth Seats by
Rusty[_2_]
I was wondering if someone would be so kind as to help me locate the
correct Beige houndstooth fabric that was used on the 1977-1980
triumph spitfires.
I've seen the seat covers that are made by Newton Commercial and the
houndstooth fabric is a perfect match. Only thing is the beige vinyl
is a...

Identifying headlamps by
[email protected]
I need to identify a pair of old headlamps. They are round, about 10
inches in diameter, 4 inches deep. The lens has the letters "WK" in
the center and the word "monogram" at the bottom. There is an armored
cable that comes out of the back. I have digital pics.
Thanks, Howard

insurance recommendations by
cdotspace
I have a 1978 Alfa Romeo. The previous owner suggested getting
insurance from J. C. Taylor. Does anyone have experience with them?
Does anyone recommend anyone else?

Does anyone here know older Volvo brake systems? I have an old Kombi

dual master cylinder. Currently I am using a pre 68 master cylinder
with no vac booster. I have the parts that came off the car, but can't

Classic Chevy Killswitch by

I just recently managed to get my 1954 Chevy 210 running again after
throwing a rod three years ago, and one of the things I spent allot of
time working on was wiring for the starter and ignitions system.
Having worked on the wiring, I can now see that it would be mindlessly
easy to hotwire the...
