1977 Jeep CJ Carb float bowl draining. by TomO[_1_]
Hey Group, Just a nagging little problem with an old Jeep CJ that I've got laying around. This Jeep has the original 258 straight 6 with a Carter YF (I think, but won't swear that's correct) carb. Everything starts and runs great, but if she has been sitting for about 3 days or more, it takes...

(1999 Chevy Blazer LS, 4 door, 4WD, 4.3L V-6 Vortec, fully loaded) Problem 1: The check engine light will not go off. When we hook it up to a computer, it says "Random Cylinder Misfire" After...

'99 Tercel air conditioning costs by Tegger
The A/C in the above mentioned car is not working as well as it once did. We've noticed a bit of a decline in cooling ability over the last year or so. Took the car to the dealership to see what they could do. Bad news: There is a teeny tiny leak at a seam in the condenser, so it needs to be...

Why no fire? by derek sollows
My 1968 Lotus (Ford 'Kent' engine)has a new coil, new condenser, 12vdc into the breaker 'points' and WILL NOT spark either at the points or through the wire - suggesting no High Voltage. At the suggestion of a mechanic neighbour I scraped the coil to ground the can - but no effect. Ideas anyone?

Fix-a-Flat Makes a Tire Un-patchable? by panabiker
A day after I used the Fix-a-flat to drive home, I took the tire to Costco (where I bought) to have it patched. After the clerk prepared paper work to patch the tire, I thought I should let them know that I used fix-a-flat as the label suggests. As soon as she heard fix-a- flat, she said the tire...

A/C clutch frozen..what causes this? how much to repair? by [email protected]
I have a 2000 Mazda Protege and apparently the A/C clutch is frozen. This happened less than a week after a radiator flush at Jiffy Lube and I'm wondering if they did anything that could have caused this. >From what I've been reading this is going to cost at least $1000. Does this seem right? I...

Problem solved with Blazer by Redneckbikerjedi
For background on this issue with my 99 Blazer, search for "Problems with Chevy Blazer" posted early this month. The reason it has been locking up and dying on me is that my catalytic converter is plugged up, according to the shop anyway. Not sure if that is why it is causing the other problems...
