Plywood chassis bonded to 'glass body (think "Marcos GT1800") project by
bartbrn
I'm working on a project that should make LBC purists and hot-rodders
alike gape, gasp, and guffaw: I have one of Bill Bonadio's "Dio"
splashes of the 1959-60 Bill AMes/Dewey BROhaugh AMBRO fiberglass
bodies, originally intended for a Triumph TR-2/3 chassis or whatever
it would fit on (the body...

priming carburetor - better way? by
Jim Beaver
My 57 Chevy's been sitting a while and won't start, so I figure the carb
needs priming, as it was in fine shape before. Is there a better way than
just pouring gas down its throat? I suspect in the many years since I last
primed a carburetor that something has come along to improve or make...

1950 Buick Special starts, idles, but dies when given gas... by
ClubHabel
From an idle, the car dies if I give it a lot of gas; however, if I
slowly try to get the RPM’s up, it’ll run and I can rev the engine so
long as the rpm’s are up.
Any thoughts on my problem?
I had the carburetor rebuilt, tank resealed, no work to fuel pump,
could use new plugs and wires, did...

Need help identifying grille by
[email protected]
I was cleaning out the loft of my garage and ran across an old
automobile grille. I believe it is an early '30s Chevy grille, but I
can't pin it down any better than that. If any of you experts can ID
it based on the photos at http://picasaweb.google.com/Bruceman20/UnidentifiedGrille
I would be...

been modified to be road-legal. I have had it insured through the same
company for three years(progressive). I just found out yesterday that
they have cancelled the policy. I won't go into the ridiculous...

how do I strip down austin 10 engine? by
Ron
I have just got a 1936 Austin 10. I have looked at the engine and the
plugs were not put back in at least 10 years ago (just sitting on the
holes). I guess that the inside is now as rusty as the outside and
will not turn at all by the handle or gently rocking in gear. I will
have to take the head...

Searching for project car - but what about rust??? by
Alex
Hello,
I've recently purchased a new house, and now that I have an awesome
garage, I want to get a project car. I've been debating on which car
to get for quite a while, and I think I've settled on a 1957 Chevy
either Bel Air or series 210.
Does anyone have experience with these older Chevy's? ...
