93 SW2 consuming oil by
Lee3333
I know early Saturns use oil. Mine goes through a quart every 500 miles.
But it happens strangely. I check it every few days, and it drops slowly
for 3 or 400 miles, then suddenly goes to below a quart low. There is no
visible smoke out the exhaust, and I put dye in the oil and there were...

04 ION front bushing problems? by
cei/pwm
I have an 04 Ion 3 with just over 2000 miles on it, a clunking in the
front end began about 300 miles ago and has grown steadily worse. The
car is at the dealer now and the service tech mentioned a bushing
problem with some Ions. Has any one else heard of this and if so what
info can you...

How to remove 2000 Saturn LS1 passenger side mirror by
K
I need to know how to remove the passenger side mirror on a 2000 Saturn
LS1. It is currently dangling by the wires (lost a fight with the trash
can tonight) and I can't figure out how to get the plastic panel off
inside the door so I can remove the mirror. Do I just pull really hard
on the small...

Code 35 by
Lee3333
Immediately after the PCM was replaced in my 99 SW2, I got a code 35.
According to my mechanic, it means that the right rear ABS sensor is not
working. But the people at Saturn told me that there appears to be a
short circuit in the wiring and it will be expensive to repair.
Could a code 35 be a...

PCV by
ProfWdesk1
Tell me again how I can get a factory PCV valve, if I should, and if getting it
replaced at a quick lube place is not the best. I know they should be replaced
often (I do them every year in the Fall but I think they are good for 2 or 3
years). Roy,

2002 VUE AC condensatation water leak by
bl
I have a 2002 Vue 4-cyl.
There is AC condensation leaking onto the passenger side floorboard.
I figure there is a drain plugged up with dirt somewhere.
It's probably a 1-minute fix after I find the problem.
Can someone tell me where the drains are,
or what other things I should look for to fix...

Rough Idle + Service Engine Soon Light on 1998 SC1 by
Brock Bolton
Last week I noticed my 1998 SC1 (with about 155000km on it) was idling a bit
rough at stoplights. Nothing too big, just a little rougher than usual.
Then last night the "Service Engine Soon" light came on. Based on this
wealth of information, does anyone have any similar experiences or...

Airbag light problem by
Gabe
I have an 01 LW300, where SOMETIMES the red Air Bag light goes on and stays
on, usually with the yellow Service light. It is an intermittant problem,
when it goes on it stays on until the engine is off. Then next time, it
might not go on again, nor again for the next few trips.
Anyway, today...

95 SC1 - what kind of tires can I use? by
Newsposter Guy
I have tires in the same size as stock (175/70-R14) but the front two
are wearing down.
I'm not terribly happy with these tires anyway, so I'm thinking of
replacing the whole set. But it's difficult to find decent tires in
that size.
Tirerack is recommending 185/70-R14, which is more common. ...

Shifter Cable Replaced .. now 2nd gear hard to shift .. by
Cuong Duong
97 SW1, 126,000 miles. 5 speed manual.
Shifter cable broke in a parking lot about 5 - 6 weeks ago. Got repaired and
shifted ok for 2 -3 weeks. Now can't downshift into 2nd gear. Must use
1st or
3rd. It's like 2nd gear isn't lining up to enable the downshift. Goes up
ok from
1st to 2nd to 3rd to...

am I wrong here? by
Scout
My 2003 VUE went in for inspection, with 50K miles on it. I 25,000
miles/year. I asked the manager to do his best to make sure I didn't see him
for the next 25K. I also told him the front brakes felt like the rotors were
warped, but only at turnpike speeds.
He called and said the rotors were very...

Exhaust smoke and MMO by
Barry Schnoor
Howdy folks,
After a year of reading posts and living with the puff of smoke every time I
accellerated, I finally did the top engine cleaning with MMO...and it seems
to have done the trick.
I pulled the plugs, put in 2 tablespoons of MMO in each cylinder and let it
sit over night. In the...

I am going to replace my o2 sensors F+R. I found the front easy
enought and i know the rear is before the catalytic converter but is
the rear accessible with just lifting the car? or is it underneath
something? My haynes book does not show a picture or describe its
exact location.

Thanks for the help on my other post. I ended up having the transmission
in stalled by an ASE certified mechanic. The transmission has 7000 miles
on it, the clutch has 5000. The car has 90000.
Now it is very very difficult to get into 3rd and 4th most of the time,
sometimes into 1st or 2nd. ...

I've had my 04 ion for about 30 days now and still having problems
getting use to the electric steering on freeways. In the city...no
problem, but on the freeway yicks! Couple posts I've read mention that
saturn improved the calibration to improve the feel. Going straight
