will a plugged heat riser cause an off idle flat spot? by
Courtney[_1_]
I have done everything possible to fix this off idle flat spot on my
stock 1200 with 28pict carb. When I mean everything, I mean replacing
carb after rebuilding it twice, replacing dizzy, using an electronic
ignition, doing valves, timing etc etc ad nauseum.
Today I put my hand on the heat riser...

Wiggling Rods by
TerryB
OK, last night produced no rats to vacuum up. I did get the heads, jugs
and pistons removed and I also pulled all the head bolts as they were
installed by some moron that new nothing of what he was doing. (Me btw)
Amazing what time does to ones knowledge base, plus reading RAMVA.
Anyway, I was...

vgonman
Hello,
Today when i was driving on the interstate, I began to notice a miss in
the motor every now and then. Nothing major, and i fullyintended to
have a look into it when i got home.
Well, I had to make a stop at a store, and when i came out, the motor
turned over, but not even a hint of it...

Wider Fenders by
TerryB
I want to make my fenders wider by at least and inch or inch and a half. I
would like to do this by cutting and welding my metal fenders, using
another set of fenders to do it or just cutting and adding some sheet
metal. How is this best accomplished?

Why we do this...because our cars make peope happy. by
Mike C.
If you don't own a thirty year old plus automobile it's sort of hard
understanding how much a pain in the ass it is to keep it running,
especially if you're not a rich dude who can plunk down money to get an old
car restored like it ain't no thing. I bought my car ten years ago about and
put a new...

Why RAMVA has declined by
KWW[_2_]
Well folks. I can say from the perspective of myself and some local
friends that once the ISPs quit providing Newsgroups it became much
harder to participate. Sure I could use Google groups but it was not as
easy to use. I had to set up an alt ID so that my gmail account was not
made visible,...

Why Online Games are So Fun by
[email protected]
After working hard for my money, the least I could do is to have some
online fun. That's what motivates me to keep making money.
I mean supporting welfare parasites and fraudulent government's SSN
program is not exactly motivational. I'd rather deal with more
trustworthy and attractive...

Why Gen. Light by
Packrat46
After over 6mo's of bringing a 73 std. bug back to life and almost r3eady to

Why did they weld the holes in the refurbished rocker set? by
[email protected]
They welded the little hole in each of the rockers on the adjustment
screw end.
I thought that maybe there had been a problem in that area with them
breaking, so they welded them to make them stronger.
Here is a link to the pic of the rocker set.
I noticed that in the pic they do not show the...
