Steering wheel controls missing!! by
Alfie
We bought a new 147 here in Belgium. We ordered the distinctive
version which is the top of the range 1.6. We were told that the
steering wheel with controls was included in the price for this range.
When we picked up the car last week we found that there were no
controls on the wheel. When we...

156 Selespeed - Typical Maintenance Requirements by
[email protected]
Hi,
My 156 selespeed (late 2000 reg) is now just over 4 years with just
over 100,000km on it.
I'm trying to anticipate the upcoming maintenance needs - figure there
might be considerable work to be done soon enough. Would appreciate any
input on this.
Done so far:
- Usual oil change & checks...

96 GTV water temperature by
Hull Chap
Hi all,
I've recently purchased a 96 GTV and have noticed that the water temp needle
never goes above 70 even when well warmed up. Is this normal? My old 156 was
always at 90. It had a new thermostat and radiator about two years ago.
Thanks

brake pad light by
mike u via CarKB.com
Just had front and rear pads renewed on 1999 Alfa 156, also new discs on
front. Since then, the brake pad warning light comes on and goes out again
as normal when I switch on the ignition, but after a few miles the warning
light comes on permanently. The garage has checked the sensors and can...

FS. My 156 Is Looking For A New Home by
Robo
Ok, I can't keep 3 Alfas on the road so my 156 is looking for a new loving
home.
Having a sports exhaust, this gives it a unique sound like no other 156. It
has this lovely throaty sound. I like
it as there is probably a bit of boy-racer left in me!

Independent Alfa Dealer Derby Area? by
WavyDavy
Can anyone advise of a decent independent to service my 156 in the Derby
area?
It's nearly 12 months old and needs a service to keep the warranty legit.
To be honest I'd rather give my money to someone who actually cares about
the car rather than the ignorant, workshy, clueless, did I...

Alfa in NZ by
Alan Johnstone
Any kiwis on here?
I'm moving out to Auckland next month, and am debating if I should take my
156 out with me.
I have concerns about how easy / cheap it's going to be to get spare parts.
It's bad enough in the UK when they have to order parts from Milan.
Thanks

connecting a mini ipod to a 147?? by
Topgooner71
Evening all.
Anyone here connected a mini ipod succesfully to a 147 ??
It is a 2001 lusso if it makes the slightest bit of difference, standard
stereo, (I think it's a blaupunkt??)
If you have connected one, can you tell me if you can change between
tracks with the controls on the steering...

Cam Belt by
JIMMY
Having just stumped up £500+ for a 36,000 service and suspension
bushes on my 2001 selespeed, the last thing i wanted to hear was the
garage ’suggesting’ that the cam belt ought to be replaced at a
further cost of £450. I understood 72,000 was the recommended mileage.
Anyone else experienced...
