Seasonal question ! What anti-freeze ? by
Emjay
Hello
I could do with finding out if there is any special anti-freeze for my 164
2l TS, as many years ago, my Alfetta sprung a leak in it's cylinder head
which the dealer put down to incorrect anti-freeze for an aluminium block.
Is this still the case these days, or is all anti-freeze suitable...

central locking stopping working... by
Claude
.... suddenly. The only thing which works, when I press the button in
the keyring is the light, which still blinks, once or twice, as
before. The doors', as well as the boot locks don't lock nor unlock.
Any idea where I should look at for a start?

DAB Experiment Part 2 by
Graeme Cosgrove
Got the DAB box this morning and fiited it in about 20mins. I attached
self-adhesive velcro to it and stuck it in the glove box. The J-Link cable
runs (discretely) from the glove box up into the center console and into the
back of the head unit. There were no power cables to connect in the end,...

In fact, I had it stolen from my alfa 156. I suppose I had to expect it

96 GTV water temperature by
Hull Chap
Hi all,
I've recently purchased a 96 GTV and have noticed that the water temp needle
never goes above 70 even when well warmed up. Is this normal? My old 156 was
always at 90. It had a new thermostat and radiator about two years ago.
Thanks

Tyre advice! by
Charlie Andrews
Hello!
I know that tyres are a bit of a personal thing, and a not-irregular subject
here, but do you think you could humour me?
I am shopping for tyres for my lovely 1.8TS 156, with the big alloys
(205/55/R16 91W). After making some enquiries from local dealers of good
repute, and also...

Alfa 156 2.0 TS 1999 by
Chenan
The garage is advising me about changing the cambelt after 60,000 km. I
disagree because the maintenance manual talks about 120,000 km, but they
insist it is because the car is 5 years old, not because the km. What do you
think?

The seller suggests it's an easy repair.
I'd suggest it's terminally bent.

Not sure if this is a good thing or not.... by
Phil Sawyer
....but on Saturday night I called my usual taxi company to take me and the
current Mrs Sawyer home after an evening's liquid refreshment, and instead
of the usual Toyota Carina it was an Alfa 156 2.0TS!
The driver was shocked as I knew straight away how to open the rear doors

155 reverse and fog light by
Christian Petersen
Hi,
I've just changed the bulbs of the reverse lights and fog lights, but
the lights still doesn't work.
So I guess either it's the sockets or the wiring.
(I just wondered if this is a typical issue, before I start looking with
my voltmeter)
Does anyone have any suggestions/tips where to start...

Alfa 155 door panels by
Christian Petersen
Hi,
How do I remove the door panels of an Alfa 155? I found 3 screws but
even with those removed, I couldn't take the panel off.
Is there some kind of clever magical trick? (I'd like to be able to put
the door panel back on again ;) )
Thank you,
CP, Denmark

147 pedals by
Tim Harrison
Hi,
The rubber cover fell off my 147's clutch pedal a couple of weeks ago so I
went into my local dealer to ask about a replacement. While there I thought
I would see if any stylish aluminium/steel pedals were available as a more
robust alternative and I was a bit shocked to find out that none...
