Would a GT by any other name still be a GT? plus some ranting by Nicholas Anthony
Is it just me or does anyone else think Ford has their beany caps on to tight? What is with the obsession with using the acronym GT? I can see how in the past they had a Mustang GT, an Escort GT, and even a Probe GT distinguishing the grade of the make/ model. I just find it awkward to produce...

Worth replacing rear on 2K GT ??? by [email protected]
I have 80K miles on my 2000 GT 'vert. Some water got into the rear-end and the gears make a slight grinding noise. I asked the dealer to change the diff fluid and check the gears, but he refused to even look inside, telling me that he was sure I would need a new $1,800 rear. I really have no time...

Worst case with bad TO bearing by Mark G7#9
Hi, Looks like my clutch has a bad throw-out bearing. It's very noisy but the car drives ok for now. Do I have much time before something major happens? (I don't have the cash now to fix the clutch). Is it safe to drive at all? Thanks Mark 2000 GT 'vert

Which names have clanked the loudest into car history's wastebasket? These are TheCarConnection's 15 contenders: Ford Probe In a single stroke, Ford managed to alienate half the potential buyers of this otherwise not-bad sporty two-plus-two coupe. The unfortunate connotations bothered many...

I notice that when I work under a car, it seems to give me gastrointestinal issues and even makes me a bit queasy. Could it be some kind of issue with coming in contact with grease/oil and fumes?

Wondering How Many Will Pony Up For The New "Pony Package" by [email protected]
FYI -- For 2006, Ford will reportly offer GT suspension upgrades, small foglamps in the grill, and optional 18" wheels on V6 Mustangs and call it the "Pony Package". Personally, I think it's a great idea. It'll help sell Mustangs to who want a sportier car than the base V6, but aren't willing to...

Won't start...but turns by JohnO
My kid's '79 gave us a new problem yesterday. It wouldn't start in the morning, classic slow-turnover-looks-like-the-battery-is-dead symptoms. We charged it all day, and even jumped it from my car, and no go. I wasn't able to measure the battery voltage during crank...I'll get that tonight. I was...
