96 GTV water temperature by
Hull Chap
Hi all,
I've recently purchased a 96 GTV and have noticed that the water temp needle
never goes above 70 even when well warmed up. Is this normal? My old 156 was
always at 90. It had a new thermostat and radiator about two years ago.
Thanks

[email protected]
Hi,
My 156 selespeed (late 2000 reg) is now just over 4 years with just
over 100,000km on it.
I'm trying to anticipate the upcoming maintenance needs - figure there
might be considerable work to be done soon enough. Would appreciate any
input on this.
Done so far:

Steering wheel controls missing!! by
Alfie
We bought a new 147 here in Belgium. We ordered the distinctive
version which is the top of the range 1.6. We were told that the
steering wheel with controls was included in the price for this range.
When we picked up the car last week we found that there were no
controls on the wheel. When we...

Tyre advice! by
Charlie Andrews
Hello!
I know that tyres are a bit of a personal thing, and a not-irregular subject
here, but do you think you could humour me?
I am shopping for tyres for my lovely 1.8TS 156, with the big alloys
(205/55/R16 91W). After making some enquiries from local dealers of good
repute, and also...

88 Alfa Spider Clutch pedal pivot shaft problem by
Costa
Hello,
I have an 88 Alfa Spider. My clutch pedal was failing to engage the
clutch and also failed to return to it's normal position (would stay
close to the floor). This is a well known problem with Alfas, when the
clutch pedal pivot shaft (or sometimes called pin) is failing.
I removed the...

New 147 by
Ross
I had a look round one recently at my local dealer(Northgate, Canterbury)
and had a short drive. Visually there's no big changes, which will hopefully
help to protect the value of the 'old' model, but the new headlamps are
nice. Not to sure about some of the other changes though! The chrome...

Brake lights fail / tails lights on permanently by
[email protected]
Anyone got ANY idea whet to look for here?
The dashboard "bulb failure" light has just started to show on my 156
1.8 SportWagon. At first it only went on while braking, but by the
time I was able to inspect the lights it was on permanently.
I now find that I have NO brake lights working at all...

Dealer Recommendations by
Simon C
Hi all
Being an owner living in Gloucestershire, some of you may have heard that
the local AR dealer (Cleveley Cars, Cheltenham) has closed.
As I see it, this leaves me with two options:
1. I can use one of the five dealers in the area for servicing, etc.
2. I can find a local independent....
