A3 2.0 TDI DSG - Launch Control? by [email protected]
Hi, I have recently picked up a 2004 A3 2.0TDI DSG - its fantastic! In the handbook, it mentions the Launch Control procedure. In the small print, it mentions that it is available on 6cyl DSG engines (which is the 3.2 petrol). I've read on other sites/forums that owners of the 2.0 TDI model...

2000 A4 - Window problems in cold weather?? by ABT
Recently have been having trouble with the driver's side window. Has automatic up/down but has been hesitating on the up. To the point where it seems it won't be able to close completely, which is not good in a region where winter = rain. We're experiencing unseasonably cold weather for this part...

thermostat switch 3 connections by Ad
I had to renew the thermostatswitch in the radiator of my Porsche 928 1978. It used to be a switch with 2 connections. The alternative part for this is an Audi switch with 3 connections, apparently for 2 temperatures (as on my former Audi 90 2.6E). My Porsche only knows one speed for the fan so I...

hey, looking for some tips on things i should be aware of. i'm (possibly) going from an '85 Jeep CJ7 to a 97/98 A4, so any advice is a welcome bridge across the performance/construction/purpose knowledge gap general questions: any known mechanical issues? avg fuel economy? options to stay away...

Fuse for brake lights keeps blowing - tech can't find problem by [email protected]
It's a 1998 A4 1.8 Quattro. First, they thought it was the switch, so they replaced that. Test drive was fine. Next day, blown fuse. Yesterday they spent 3 hours ($$) examining the wiring. Couldn't find anything wrong. New fuse in, test drive was great. Today, blown fuse. I replaced it, drove...

Would 175 70 R15s fit the A4 wheel wells? by AD[_2_]
Does anyone run 175 70 R15 here? I found some off-road rubber for soft offroading on my upcoming A4 Avant Quattro (basically just quickly get off the paved road for 100-200 feet without getting stuck in the mud) the diff in the outside diameter is about 20mil (4/5") would these 70 profile tires...

Manuals on recent crop of subarus by AD[_2_]
This is not to rub it in, but I'm truly curious how do you like the gear change process on your late model subarus? Bonus points if you had a stick shift honda, older subaru with a manual at some point, or, better yet some sort of a slick 6sp, so you have the proper background for comparison. (I...

A4 B6 Sport Suspension rear toe oddity that keeps popping up in thewheel alignment (rear right) by AD[_2_]
I have about 0 degrees 16 minutes toe on rear left and about 0 degrees 17 on the rear right which is slightly outside the range specified by audi, I believe the rusty adjuster nut and washer had been replaced: what likely needs to be fixed to get to 0o12' or less specified for the rear...

Tire load by AD[_2_]
Parking here is extremely tight.
