Electronically-Stimulated Windows - A Feature by
Bernd Felsche[_2_]
<http://golf2lin.wordpress.com/2011/11/25/electronically-stimulated-windows/>
A different way to control electric windows is discussed on a
Features page.
This isn't part of the main project. Especially in view of the cost
of electric motors that'd do the job. Incremental cost above that
required...

Oil pressure problem by
Bill Leary
The car is a 1987 16 valve Scirocco.
When the engine gets up to operating temperature, and it's run between 2200
and 2800 RPM the oil pressure warning activates. Get it above 2800, it
shuts up. If it falls below 2800, it activates again. Gun it, to get it
above 2800, then shift so it's...

bob
I use the car about once every 3 or 4 days and it starts fine from
cold but having driven around for half an hour or so, then parked the
car for an half an hour, turning the ignition lights up the dash and
all indicators but no starter motor. This can happen up to 5 times
before the starter motor...

04 Jetta Wagon 2.0 BEV by
Steve[_42_]
Cruise control won't maintain constant speed above 60 mph - it surges.
New fuel filter; fuel pressure is 65 psi (4.5 bar) at 4K rpm; new plugs.
I'm thinking coil pack? throttle body? Any help appreciated. TIA.

Where has everyone gone? by
tonyw
Hi,
rec.autos.makers.vw.watercooled used to be quite an active group.
Where has the discussion moved to? When I search for alternative
groups for watercooled VWs, I find mostly very narrow groups that, for
instance discuss modifications, or discuss just one model of VW,
rather than the more...

95 Jetta Waterleak by
Dave[_69_]
I have a 95 Jetta. It accumulates rain water behind the driver's seat. I'm
guessing that this may be due to a plugged up drain for the sunroof. What's
the best way to clean it out?
Thanks, Dave

1.8T: Slowly oscillating temp gauge by
Bert Hyman
2002 Passat GLS wagon, 1.8T, automatic.
Starting just this morning, the car warms up to the normal indicated
190F but from then on slowly drops to about 150F, slowly climbs back to
190F, and continues to do so, apparently unaffected by any external
conditions.
Until now, it warmed up to 190F and...

2000 Passat (2.0 V6) Has Sludge by
AABob
Symptoms:
1. Smelly exhaust.
2. CEL on.
3. "STOP ENGINE NOW" warning every once in a while.
4. Rough idle.
I looked in the hole where the oil filler cap goes. There's a dark
brown gel all over everything. I think this is sludge.
I've had this car since new. I have the car serviced regularly

The "Old" Golf by
B Briggs
We've had our '90 Golf (GL 4Dr Wolfsburg 1.8 manual) for 11 years and
100,000 miles (It has 162,000).
It runs great for its age (20!). I've taken care of it and used good
gas. It's still fun to drive and has lots of power- especially in
the
middle band.
Lately it's been burning oil- about a...
