Delco oil filters by
Dad
Does anyone know what Delco is doing with their numbering system for their
oil filters?
At one time I found they were putting check valves in all of them instead of
just the horizontal filters to eliminate stock/numbers. Went to buy some
today and couldn't find any PF44 and after poking around I...

Iron or Alluminium head by
Black Bomb
Hi
What year was it when GM switched from Iron to Alluminium heads in the
middle of the production. I think it was in 86. My buddy keeps telling me
that his 89 has Cast Iron & his 91 ZR1 has alluminium heads. I'm sure my 89
has alluminium heads.
Thanks
Dan

Apology by
Diode
Apparently I ruffled a few feathers with a recent outburst. To those
who were offended by my language, I apologize. I won't go into details
about why, but let's just say I was down to my last nerve and that putz
got on it. I have since killfiled the putz in question so as to keep my
blood...

value of 86 convt 116K miles? by
Raymond Prince
I'm looking at an 86 convt with 116,000 miles, it definitely needs new
paint, carpet, ragtop, weather-strips, antennae, gear on one headlight, tank
drained and new battery, due to being left sitting for almost a year.
The body itself is in good shape and it has an aero package with front dam,
side...

Power Steering on 69 Corvette by
Kevin
I just bought a 69 corvette and it does not have power steering. Is
it possible to add. It's a 350 motor that has been "tricked" up a bit
to closer to 400 hp. I am planning to add headers and side pipes, but
don't think they will interfere with a power steering option.

Do both Cooling fans operate simultaneously on a C5? by
Tedd Riggs
I have the optional "Run Cool" on my C5, so mine is a wimp compared to Dad's
<g>
>Fans start low speed at 226 C ( 438.8 F )
>go on to high speed at 235 C ( 455 F )
>low speed with the ignition off at 284 C. ( 543.2 F )
The fans are wired in parellel, so both should be the same speed.
On mine:
