Rear Deck lid hinge bracket for a '56 beetle sedan by
Cort
Good morning,
I've recently picked up a '56 beetle. It was finally delivered on
Friday and I got a chance to take it for a quick spin around the block
before we got 18 inches of snow. One thing I noticed was that the
rear deck lid rattled pretty bad. One of the hinge brackets is just

No Spark in my 69 Bus by
FC Bill

009 with a flamethrower ignition and flamethrower coil. All was well
for a couple of weeks until she died, no spark. I replaced the 009
with the old one (that worked) and still no spark. I am no expert on
electrical problems so...

Forgive my ignorance but what keeps the clutch from falling backward? I have
reinstalled the pedals and the spring helps the brake pedal to return but it
seems the clutch pedal could fall backwards. It looks like the pedals are
leaning too far back, what am I missing?

Bench starting an engine w/o a muffler by

Is it possible or do you need the back pressure?
I have a 'spare' engine I don't want to spend the money for a muffler if I
don't need to.
