95 Civic LX Intake Air Temperature Sensor by [email protected]
Hi... Can any one please tell me whether a bad Intake Air Temperature Sensor (IAT) or a bad TW (Coolant Temperature sensor, or Water Temperature Sensor) will cause the engine not to fire up? I've read that these two sensors can affect injector pulse width? It seems that I'm getting too much fuel...

PO172 on a 98 Prelude SH by qslim
My systems running rich, so says the computer. In observing the o2 sensor I found that voltage does indeed spike just as the engine returns to idle. At this point it hesitates and stumbles, barely running for a few seconds. After that, idle returns normally and sensor voltage occilates between .2 &...

Fr. Lower Inbd Control Arm Bolts (91 Civic) by Elle
Has anyone had success freeing these without shearing off the bolt head? I PB Blastered what I could, then I put some torque on the bolt head this afternoon. I didn't have a good angle and didn't want to push it just yet. The nut on the back side of the bolt appears to be welded to the frame. I...

Car won't start. I think the distributor rotor and crankshaft are out of alignment by jwhite117
While I was changing the alternator, I turned the crankshaft pulley (while the distributor was out), and I think the timing btw the cranshaft and the distributor is out off. The distributor rotor turns when I try and start the car, but nothing else happens. Does anyone have a clue as to what I can...

Brake problem by Philip Trenholme
Brake pedal sinks partially when applied going down a hill at slow speed. A pump or two will bring it back up. This has been going on for a few weeks. No noticible loss of fluid in brake reservoir. Could a faulty booster cause this? Car is 94 Accord wagon w/ABS brakes. Phil

90 civic over heated- now oil on top of spark plugs by glennsbluewater
So, I lent out my car to a friend. When I met up with him, the car was smoking like crazy and really hot. The radiator was almost dry and as I would fill it up, it smoked like a cyclone (the radiator did have a small leak that got worse). Also one of the sparkplug wires was forced up...

Hi, my cherished 1985 prelude SI is leaking radiator fluid from the water pump feed pipe (or some related component). HOW DO I GET AT IT? Can it be removed from the passenger side of the engine compartment if I remove some of the components, or possibly from the "back" (near the windshield) of the...

water pump, head bolts on 90 accord EX by Ryan Underwood
Hey, We just took this 90 accord apart, a burned valve from leaking valve stem seals. It is the F22A4 motor with 200k on it. The compression numbers besides the blown cylinder were consistent. The head is in the shop now. In the meantime I bought a Felpro gasket set, Gates timing kit, various...
