How To Make The Competition Invisible by [email protected][_2_]
Drive/ride this! I'd bet the Viper, Ford GT, Vette, etc following behind wouldn't even get noticed. http://www.ridelust.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/10/Picture-16.jpg I'd guess the front wheel is made of solid cast iron to help keep the nose down?

Oil Sensor? by jonezzzman[_2_]
I have a 1989 Ford Mustang GT. It has a sensor on the side of the oil pan, just above one of the oil drain plugs. I believe it detects when the oil is too low and is connected to a Check Oil light on the instrument panel. Does anyone know what this part is called and where I can get one? ...

89 GT Idle Air Control unit testing? by [email protected]
Is it possible to test an IAC to see if its bad? Or to test to see if signal is going through it? Also, it looks like the wire harness connection is 2 positives and then the negative ground is through the bolts to the throttle body? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks,

Noise from steering wheel by [email protected]
2004 Mustang Mach1, 5 speed, 24000 miles whenever I put the AC on, when turning there's a dinking noise and you can feel the vibration from the impact of the dink. Nothing else seems to be wrong. I am not sure if its a coincidence that the AC happens to be on - or if its related to the car...

new V6 vs. 5.0 by John
I've heard people saying "the new V6 has more power than the old 5 liters." Comparing the specs, the new 6 does indeed have 210hp vs. the 5.0's 205hp; however, the new 6 has only 240 lb-ft torque while the 5.0 had 300 lb-ft. Clearly, the 5.0 would have the power advantage in a stoplight race (I...

TIP: Buying a car from a dealer on Ebay by Backyard Mechanic
Well, the third times the charm... My son lives in LA and drives a nice leased car but he wanted a 'roughing it' vehicle to use when he visited development sites and for occasional 'hauling purposes' He always liked the older Jeeps and set out to buy a late 60, early 70 Commando. He bid on two.....

Q Re 66 PS Pulley Install by RDM
I am trying to help my daughter replace a defective Power Steering pump. I have to install the old pulley on the new pump. It's suppose to press fit by using a bolt, washer and two nuts. I'm having difficulty doing this. I measure the PS pump shaft at .692" and the Pulley ID at .676" (.016"...

302 or 351w into a 65 Ford Falcon Futura? by [email protected]
Hello, I know this is a mustang group, but since the falcon and mustang have the same mechanical underpinnings I figured I would ask. I have a 65 ford falcon futura with an inline six that I'm getting ready to put a v8 into. Now its just a question of a 302 or 351w. I have read that a...

'69 brake rotor question. by Mark C.
I'm installing a set of new, quality stock replacement rotors on my '69 mach. What is the best way to keep the "rough" areas from turning rust brown? I'm not sure if caliper paint rated at 900' will hold up, especially in the cooling fins area. Plating or buying a plated set of rotors is not...
