That's interesting pillarless styling. Do you know who built the body for
this Humber? I have the same car in the A-Z of Cars of the 1930s so it may
well have been a factory build. I don't remember if Rootes had already
purchased Thrupp & Maberly by this time; if so, this could have been one...

What a shame that Jowett didn't survive. They were hopelessly
undercapitalized, as were so many other smaller marques, but with a
brilliant concept like this Javelin it would have been nice to see it
continue for a while longer. Who knows how this design could have evolved?

I've always considered this to be one of the most attractive coupes of all
time....from the headlights back. That front end is a disaster. Why didn't
they just take the grille from the 2000Ti? Still, if someone were to offer
one to me I'd be glad to take it, I guess.
