Has anyone had Vintage Air (a/c) added to their Corvette ? by [email protected][_2_]
Im wondering how well it cools, whether you have tinted windows or not, its reliability, and how often youve had to recharge it ? Im impressed with how factory it looks inside and under the hood. Thanks.

94 turn signal problem by chaniarts[_2_]
when i turn on the left signal, everything is correct. when using the right signal, the stop doesn't appear to hold the stalk in the turn position anymore. is the a problem with the switch itself (requiring major dismantling of the steering column from what it looks like in the service manual),...

How You Know Your C5 is OLD by aRKay[_4_]
Look at the pump icon on the fuel gage and notice which side the hose is attached. Mine shows the hose on the right but the gas cap in on the left in C5. I wonder when GM updated the icon to show the correct locations of the gas cap?

How quickly we forget by Dad[_1_]
DOH, what was I thinking the, C2, C3, & C4 has a fuel filler in the middle. I'm sure GM finally put it on the side to keep from confusing drivers when they check the "Best kept auto secret" for filler door location. That way they would find it quicker after going from side to side trying to...

Example of Good GM Design :-( by aRKay[_4_]
The battery in my 2001 C5 died and that's okay as it was almost 3 years old. I had a heck of a time removing the side terminals because GM left little or no space to remove side terminals. My only small 8 mm open end wrench slipped out of my hand and dropped in slot in the bottom of the...

STL C3 Sharks corvette club by 01 C5
Hi, May 16th was the Sixth annual C3 Sharks auto show. The St Louis C3 Sharks have only one restriction, you must have a C3. ('68-'82) The weather was gloomy with the threat of rain, so the turn out was small, but every shark that did show was nice and a potential show winner.

Expensive Repair in Process by aRKay[_4_]
After two dead batteries on my 2001 Coupe it was taken to the dealer on a flat bed truck. The first report is BCM (Body Control Module) is drawing 4 amp and that is what is killing the batteries. The big unknown at the dealership is to find and understand what circuit is shorted. Just...

C5 normal trans temps by FBNE[_2_]
I was bored in traffic today and scrolled through the displays. I showed a trans temp at 218 and the engine temp at 229. The OAT was reading 108, probably closer to 103 real world. What is the normal ranging for trans temp? I see the engine temp run anywhere from low 200s through 240...

0-60 speeds by Tilbalang
I hope this doesn't turn out to be a dumb question but... When they test those 0-60 speeds on a standard transmission is there a set protocol for at what rpm you shift and how many gears are used?

76 problem - advice requested. by [email protected][_2_]
I have a 1976 vette with about 120K miles on it. Owned it since new. Last year I had to do a fair amount of work on it (spring, shocks, rad support bracket, new rad, new water pump.). It seems to have been developing a problem and I am not sure what it is. I thought it started about the time I...

Kudos to GM Engineering for Keyfob by aRKay[_4_]
My hats off to the GM team that designed the Corvette C5 Keyfob. My wife just ran mine through the washer and dryer. I heard it clanking around and she could have cared less. The noise was driving me crazy so I checked and I now have a very clean keyfob and keys. The best part is it still turns...

scheduled maintenance by Charles Kormos
It seems to me the recommended schedule of some items is questionable. Every three months or 3000 miles for oil seems wasteful. Every 5 years for coolant? That seems like taking a chance. 100,000 miles for sparkplugs? They really last that long? Transmission fluid and filter change every 15,000...
