C5 "mode" switch light by Pappy
On my '01, I just noticed that the "mode" switch on the heater control is dark at night. Am I wrong, or was this lighted at one time? If so, can I replace the bulb/LED? How do you do it? TIA Pappy

What's A Good Deal On a New Z06? by dave
'I took it to a shop with a very good reputation today. The only problems was it needed a new tentioner, both belts replaced and the coolant reseviour was leaking and needed to be changed. Plus it was time for an oil change and a radiator flush. All that cost me $575. They couldn't find anything...

80 Vette/Headlights/Left Light won't Close by douglas9
Have 1980 whose headlights open and operate correctly, but when i attempt to turn off/close lights the left light will not close. By blowing compressed air into the vacum line i can close the light. Should i just replace the actuator or might it be something else. Any help appreciated.

Remove/Replace Power Brake Unit Help by Gary B. Golden
Attempting to remove and replace the power brake unit on a 1981 automatic. GM shop manual simply says remove nuts from 4 studs on firewall. Yeah, right. How do you get to them? I can see them and if I wiggle my fingers just right, I can touch them. I know they're 14mm but can't get to them with...

Does anyone have a ProCharger installation ? by dave
Upon investigation for an LS2 , it appears that an ATI ProCharger is the way to go for a SC using an air to air intercooler. If anyone has one, how loud are they under boost ? Any problems ? What type of oil do they take ? Opinions ? Thanks, Dave

Building a Corvette Kit Car by Ironman
This is just a reality check for myself on the costs and time to build a Corvette Kit car. My thoughts fall in line with the absolute out of reach costs of buying a genuine classic late 50s Corvette versus building a late 50s style Kit Corvette. I also want to have the advantage of new technology...

Anti-theft horn 1980 C3 by BART FITZPATRICK
Can anyone tell me were the anti-theft horn is at and how to deactivate the system until I find the problem? I went to open my car door today and the alarm kept going off and the only way to stop the horn from waking the neighbors was to disconnect the battery. I have disconnected two horns up...

01 C5 Service Active Handling Soon - warning by aRKay
I had a "Service Active Handling Soon" DIC warning and it cleared itself overnight. Two days later I had the same warning so I took it to the dealer. My car is still covered by GMPP. By the time I got to the dealer the warning disappeared. They ran some checks and said there may have been...

old dry fiberglass? by Keith Bennett
A few years ago I picked up a wrecked 73. I replaced all the damaged bodyparts with aftermarket panels and had it painted. It's been my daily driver for three years, but now the paint is peeling on most of the origional body panels in a big way. Since I am going to have to go through it again...

Bread Loaf ... 1984-1989? by [email protected]
I have been searching for a Y series Corvette since the budget will most likely not allow for anything else. I know the passenger side started to have the infamous "Bread Loaf" restraint when the '84 model debuted in '83 and the Y series continues until '89. Did the Bread Loaf remain for all of...

Smog problems 81 in CA by Steve
Hey all, My 81 just failed smog :-( Looking for opinions before I go back to another facility (the test-only guy was not very helpful, I think he's in cahoots with the repair guy who referred him, not that I'm cynical or anything ) So, I'll just throw out the numbers, and see if anyone...
