Ball joints by
JS
Anybody know how to get them off? I've got a 66 in need of new tie rod ends
and ball joints. Are there any Bug specific presses I should look into? Or
some kind of homemade device?
TIA,
John

Battery durability/generator question by
Braukuche
Hey all,
My generator crapped out on the way back from work today. I drove about 15
minutes in daylight with it down. I need to drive a total of two hours tomorrow
(to and fro work) with no headlights on or windshield wipers. Do you think the
battery will hold out long enough for me to make it?

Rear Main Seal by
Kevin
Hi all
I have a 1600dp, with about 3000miles on the clock and is about 10 months
old. It doesn't drip a drop, well at least not in my carport. I do however
have a mean clutch shudder, it's not the Bowden tube, I have replaced it and
set the correct "dip".
I suspect the clutch or pressure plate,...

before I put it into the junk file, I checked the number which is 0 231
137 009. It is a vacuum advance 009. I did not know VW ever had a 009
mech/vac...

Rear Seats by
Drafin
Hi everyone, I'm back for a bit,
I need a good source for a rear seat for my `68 sunroof.
The only part of the rear seats that are there is the upper half and
it is in terrible shape.
Also need the kick pannels as well.
Anyone got any sources for seats and pannels?

55 oval carb question by
Howard Nelson
I have a completely original 1955 oval ragtop. 51K miles. I have two
problems I believe are related to the fuel system. 1. When accelerating
there is a "flat" spot in the power output at what I would estimate is about
1/3 max rpm. Pulls strong off the line :) and no problem in 1st. then sort
