Weird air ducts in a racing 928 by RobW
I saw this car here- http://www.928motorsports.com/other928s.html It's the yellow #917. I noticed it has ducts in the car that lead from the trans tunnel behind the driver, up to scoops on the roof, forward of the rear...

Bronco Hesitation by [email protected]
My 1989 Ford Bronco (in-line six, 4.9L, manual transmission 4wd) is being a pain, and I wondering if you have any idea what this could be? For a long time it has had trouble when it is warm and I shut it off for a few minutes, then come out and start it again. I would restart it and the ammeter...

WTB: Transmission - 5-speed 2x4 for 1988 or 1989 Chevy C1500 pickup by Gene
Want to buy a 5-speed manual transmission for a 1988 or 1989 Chevrolet C1500 2x4 pickup. I am pretty sure it is called a "GetrAG". Possibly a model NV3500. It's VERY confusing, because everybody tells me something different. GM said that they only made two manual transmissions for the "new" body...

Diagnostic scanner for CAN bus? by John Allen
The Toyota Prius needs a CAN-compatible diagnostic scanner. I've found 3 places selling low-cost scanners which claim to be CAN-compatible: http://www.auterraweb.com - PalmOS software only, list $289, about $200 on eBay, +$20-30 for a Palm cable - software looks good, but no information to write...

How often do you change coolant hoses? by WaterWatcher
Just wondering what's your rule of thumb for how many years before changing coolant hoses. I can only remember blowing one hose and it was nine years old. My Haynes manual recommends changing them every two years! How long do you let them ? anks, WW

Pulsator in Fuel Tank 96 Chev 1500 PU with 305 by Mountain
I am in the process of replacing my in-tank fuel pump in a 96 Chev 1500 PU with a 305. I noticed the fuel pump is connected to the line via a "pulsator". Should I also replace the pulsator? It seems likely that the fuel pump may have been ok, but the fuel could have had an internal tank leak via...

Electronic Rust Prevention - Control Device by Barry

I have a 1989 pontiac 6000 with the fuel injected 2.8 liter v6 that has developed a problem with surging/low idle. The car starts and runs fine when cold (first started in the morning) but as the engine warms up the engine begins to idle strangely and it surges from high to low high to low until...

2003 Ford Ranger Shocks and Tire Cupping by Helvis
I took my Ranger in for an oil change and tire rotation at Meineke. It has 13,400 miles on it and is 2WD. It had 18 miles on it when I got it from the dealer. This was the first time that I had the tires rotated. I'm sure it was over due but I didn't think it was by much. The mechanic called...
