92 Golf tranny swap by [email protected]
I've been driving and loving my 92 diesel golf for a while now but the tranny has started to go. Before I rebuild or replace with another 92, does anyone know if there is another year of tranny I can put in with a better gearing for highway speeds? Any advice is appreciated, Brian

So many Jettas - so few Golfs by Allynn Wilkinson
I'm in the market for a pre-owned VW and I'm really interested in a Golf. I currently have two Cabriolets (an '89 and a '90) that I love but I drive over 100 miles every day and I'd like something a little newer! Definitely plan to keep one of the Cabriolets, though - for summer...

Golf Won’t Start by alottamalarkey
This is an annoying intermittent will-not-start problem in a 2.0 GL Mark IV. There is no problem with warning lights. When the car starts, it runs fine; has never stalled or died. There does not seem to be any relation to wet, dry, cold or hot weather. Battery is plenty strong. SYMPTOMS: On some...

I have a 96' Jetta Trek. A couple of months ago, I clipped a deer, going about 35. Dented my fender, but everything else seemed fine. Car drove straight and ran fine. Then, all of a sudden, tranny quit going into drive. I can rev the engine, and it will drop into 1st, then drives...

How To Cure A Golf Slice by ameliya vii
The slice is the number one problem for the average amateur golf. I suffered myself for over 3 years from a terrible slice. I had dozens of golf lessons, tried ten different golf swings, used all the latest golf swing aids ...but there was no improvement. But there's a solution! After studying...

Hi: Has anyone tried the BioDiesel from the Utopia retail location in Unionville (Hwy 7 and Kennedy Rd., Greater Toronto Area)? Does this diesel variety gel in low temperatures? Or is it ok if a diesel fuel conditioner like Stanadyne is added to it to prevent gelling? Should I use just regular...
