Always a Challenger, Never a Champ by NoOp[_2_]
Let's keep our fingers crossed. It would be a shame if the new Challenger has the same fate as the first generation. ---- Other vehicles include the Chrysler 300 and Dodge Charger. Chrysler used a week of downtime at the Brampton, Ontario, assembly plant last week to continue retooling in...

Auto recalls that should have happened? by Dick R.
Maybe an old wives tale, but supposedly the seats on the Ford Model T were stuffed with Spanish moss - that hadn't been treated to kill the chiggers. I dunno? Dick

A question about newer Mustangs by dickr2
Regardless of options, they are nice looking machines. They are supposed to be 4 passenger vehicles (2 adults and 2 munchkins), but I'm wondering; If you fold down the rear seats, is the area open to the trunk, and do they have a "hatchback" type of trunk lid? Just curious, Dick - 84 Capri 5.0...

DIY Mustang Convertible installation - Am I Crazy? by gantone1
I am considering installing my own vinyl convertible top on my 87 Mustang, I found instructional DVD's so I figure that can get me past the part that is not intuitive. - Am I crazy? Has anyone done this and care to share their experience? - Any advice on the manufacturer?

Toyota's problem happened to me by Rich
In my 2001 GT. Floor mat hooked over the accelerator, I was on the highway, and headed straight for an 18 wheeler. I put the brakes on full power, didn't work, hit the back of the truck. He didn't even know I'd hit him, he just kept going. I was covered for the minor front bumper damage by...

GT500 Keeps Getting Better and Better by NoOp[_2_]
A few more ponies and a 100 pounds pulled off the nose -- always a good thing! The 2011 version of the Ford Shelby GT500 Mustang carries a supercharged 5.4-liter V8 that weighs less, delivers more power and uses a unique spray-coating process that eliminates the need for cast- iron liners in the...

Doable or Royal PIA? by NoOp[_2_]
Damn 17-year old cars. The door hinges on my 1993 Cobra driver's door are showing their age. The door squeaks while driving on certain pavement and the door sags a bit. (And the indent went away a couple years ago.) I now want to replace the hinges. Is this a doable project for a guy with some...

A movie for all Mustang lovers - Bullitt by dickr2
If you can receive TCM (Turner Classic Movies) on your TV, one of tonight's movies is "Bullitt" staring Steve McQueen and a very special Mustang leaping through the air on the streets of San Francisco. Years ago I read a detailed article in a auto magazine that described the frame, suspension, and...

First look at GT350 by GILL[_10_]
Not too keen on big body kits. Performance looks awesome, but price is......Can you say here we go again, like the GT500, way too high for now. The package starts at $30,000.00..............After you first buy a $30,000.00 car! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IoHi9oBXfXc

A new Ford in our garage! by dickr2
No, it's not a Mustang, but it's a beautiful Ford Flex. We purchased the vehicle for our spring and summer trips (we're both retired) to replace our 1995 E150 van. The E150 with <98,000 miles will be sold to our son, we'll keep our 1998 Ford Escort for driving in winter snow and salt, and I still...
