The Top-10 Summer Drives by
[email protected]
Has anyone taken any of these drives?
1. VIRGINIA
My husband, Bronson, thinks I swear too much. That's why he presents me
with a shellacked-cedar cuss bank at Luray Caverns in Virginia's
Shenandoah Valley. We can't resist the vivid green billboards
announcing nature's hidden treasure at exit 264...

Projector Headlights by
Deputy Dog[_2_]
The Current headlights just isn't cutting it anymore so I'm going to replace
them. I currently have smoked aftermarket jobs and they are clouding up<
oxidizing> pretty bad despite using plastic polish frequently. So I figure
to go a different way. I need something really bright seeing as I love...

*Serious* newbie question - tune-up HOWTO? by
Thomas Cameron
I've always owned electronically controlled cars, never owned a non
fuel-injected car. Is there a good guide online for doing a tune-up on my
'68 289 2V coupe? So far I plan on putting in new points, condensor, rotor,
cap, plugs and wires. I will set the points with a feeler gauge. I don't
have...

If you have your choice... by
RichA
What method of horsepower increase would you choose?
-Supercharger.
-Nitrous
-More cubic inches
-A more refined (upped compression, etc) motor?
Personally, I think more cubes is the sensible path, owing to
it's simplicity, but then bolting on a supercharger or nox bottle
is perhaps easier.

Value of an SROD? by
The Hurdy Gurdy Man
I have a 1982 SROD (four speed overdrive) manual transmission sitting in my
garage, complete with bellhousing, taking up space. It's meant to go behind
a 302 of that era, and it's actually in pretty good shape except for a
hairline fracture in the input bearing retainer that would necessitate...

electronic throttle? by
Bill Jones
The December issue of Road & Track has a great review on the '05 Mustang GT.
http://www.roadandtrack.com/article.asp?section_id=3&article_id=1662
In it, the reviewer says,
"Response for the first few hundred rpm off idle is soft, the result of only
281 cubic inches, two tons of all-up weight...

Pinks, Gasoline, Abiotic Petroleum , and Titan by
Jimmy
So I'm sitting here watching Pinks on the Speed channel, checking out an
e-mail I got with a link from WorldNet Daily (many times know as
Wingnut Daily) about abiotic oil. Oil not from ancient plants and
dinosaurs. More like like ancient synthetic oil!
First off to make a long story short, the kid...

Idiotic "mechanics" by
[email protected]
I know enough to avoid Jiffy-Lube and such. Found a clean and somewhat
upscale garage a few years back and have been taking in my GT every 3K
miles or so.
For some reason, their computer does not show correct capacity and they
often put in too much oil. I've been double checking myself...

I suppose I should warn you.. by
SVTKate
Most of you know that even on a normal day I can be ... let's say BLUNT.
However, recently things have changed a bit.
In all fairness, you should know I just quit smoking. Today is the third
day.
Add to that the normal hormonal imbalances of a woman in her mid 40's and a
life long "kiss my ass"...

Kate said to ask you... are you running a 351W? If so what kind of
mileage are you getting? Trying to decide between the original (289 A
Code) or swap to the 351W. Mucho appreciation for any help.
