What's the deal about the AOD transmission? by
Mauricio Tavares
In my slow but ongoing quest to put my 90LX alive, last weekend I
bought an AOD tranny. I mentioned some people about my acquisition and
everyone told me the AOD is the worst thing that ever came out of Ford.
Why is it so maligned?

1967 headliner color question by
JK
I am told by Dallas Mustang Parts, that there is no parchment headliner,
only saddle which is used in parchment interiors? Is this correct? Will my
parchment interior have to have a darker tan headliner?

2001 GT, Hard Starting When Cold by
Max C. Webster III
I've got a 2001 GT automatic with ~83K miles. Recently it's become hard to
start when cold. I'll turn the ignition, and the motor turns over and starts
up, but as soon as I let go of the key, the engine dies.
If I apply the gas after starting and before I let go of the key and keep the
tach at...

'05 V6 grill fogs -- the actual answer by
Ok, so after a week of research, $500, and some serious migranes, I have
found the 'almost definitive' answer on getting fogs into the V6.
The parts needed are the Ford OEM grille, fog switch, and fog lights from
the GT, and the wiring harness being hawked all over ebay (DONT buy the
grille kit...

99 v6 mustang with 140K miles by
audioaxes
They want $4000 for it. However im concerned how well it will hold up
with this much mileage, even though they say its in excellent
condition. Anyone have any experienced with their 99 model mustangs
in the 150-200K mile range?

High performance pursuit cars? by
Dillon Pyron[_2_]
In the early to mid 90s, the TX DPS (highway patrol, etc) had about 3
dozen seriously warmed up Camaroes and about 18 'Stangs, to be used in
high speed pursuits. Apparently they were rather successful in the
immediate areas were they were deployed.
Have any other states done the same? The Austin...

'95 Ford Mustang "engine oil backed up" by
stangathang1
I recently changed my oil and filter as part of my regularly scheduled
maintenance. Shortly after, I ran the engine to promote circulation of
the fresh fluids. All components seemed to be funtioning well so I
cleaned up and called it a day. The next day my mustang wouldn't start
and all the oil...

5.0 rattle by
Brad and Karen
Hey guys...
The old 5.0 5-spd makes a rattling noise when the tach passes 2,000, up or down. I'm going to bet this is a clutch or tranny issue? I'm not sure. Any thoughts guys?
Thank you.

Muscle Car Numbers From The V6 Model by
[email protected][_2_]
It still seems unbelievable. 13.9s @ 100 from the standard V6 Mustang
-- better numbers than most all the 60's-70's muscle cars, better than
our beloved old 5-oh cars (including the Cobra), and in lock-step with
the 4.6 DOHC Cobras. Hell, you have to go all the way to the '03-'04
Mach 1s to find a...
