Just about every automotive publication names its own Car of the Year, but some take a slightly different approach. Here at Autoblog we focus on the automotive technology, in Europe a bunch of publications from different countries team up to name their joint favorite, and at Automobile magazine,...

Subys vulnerable to electronic key hacking by
Bob Wilson[_2_]
An item in the latest "Comp.Risks" forum on computer security includes a
Suby model in the victims: Is it bad that there is a Suby there, or good
that only one is...? I have to admit I didn't even know there was
a Subaru Levorg.

Best cars of 2013: Alfa Romeo 4C by
[email protected]
The 4C has the potential to be a truly great car, even if at the moment it only feels 95 per cent finished Before you slide behind the wheel to drive, you're inclined to speculate too much about the central purpose of Alfa Romeo's terrific new mid-engined, fixed-head coupé, the 4C. Everyone knows...

I don't like this wine by
GT[_11_]
My 2002 156 2.0jts...
Don't know if the TSparks do this, or if anyone else has even noticed this,
but I can 'hear' when the oil is low: I get a whining noise just as the oil
level falls below the dipstick - it usually needs a pint or so and the whine
goes away. It has always done this from new,...

motor control system failure by
jima
Disaster? On journey down to south west, light came on with message as
title. Engine runs with slight hesitation but continued for 75 miles
without mishap. What could it be? I've had a turbo pipe blow
before.....seems different. Oh yeah it's a 1.9 JTD. Cheers. Jim

The 2019 Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifogli is much better than you might imagine by
MummyChunk
> If you haven't taken a look at the 2019 Alfa Romeo Giulia
Quadrifogli lately - it might be time to stop into your local Alfa
dealer. Alfa's have gotten a bit of a bad rap here in the USA - but
the 2019 Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifogli might change all of that. All
things aside - this car looks...

Alfa SZ? by
Ppelectron
I've just seen a really pretty looking Alfa, which I believe was an SZ, (after
a quick search on the Internet for pics). Very sporty looking car with 3
headlights on each side and a nice sounding engine. Anyone on here got one? Are
they rare / expensive? Any idea how much they sell for? I could...

156 picked up today, well chuffed by
R D S
Picked up my 2.0 TS 156 today and can barely stop grinning.
It does everything I want it to do and looks reasonably grown up, well at
least till I put a big boot spoiler on it.
I would recommend one to anybody.

Alfa 33 Permanent 4 Advice Please by
rossco103
Hello,
I'm thinking of buying an Alfa 33 Permanent 4. I had a twin-carb 33 a
number of years ago and that was a brilliant car. I'm now thinking of
experimenting with a 4wd car as i've never had one before.
I was wondering if anyone could share some advice / experience on this
car? What the 4wd...

Sillyspeed... by
SteveH[_2_]
I should have known this would happen.
Car is a 2002 built (facelift interior) 2.0 Selespeed Veloce.
Fault code: P1742 - Selection Range Sensor.
Am I correct in assuming this is the actuator, and will be hugely
expensive to fix?
On the other hand, I joined the ranks of the Italian...

Tyres: Best foot forward? or back? by
Buzzardous Cross
Hi Guys,
Have seen quite a lot of good info 'bout tyres on this group. And a
few times it's been mentioned that on FWD cars, it's best to have the
better pair of tyres at the rear.
Firstly, is that the general opinion of the Alfisti on this group?
Second, anybody got an idea why this is...

Reason nunber 187 why I love my Alfa by
Ypnos
Was downtown the other night waiting at traffic lights, minding my own
business and a Celica rolled up next to me with 2 kiddies in it, revving and
doing other things that jap-car owners have to do to get noticed. I was more
than happy to oblige, of course so I force fed them some dust and never...
