4WD vs. AWD by RobertS975
Looking at various Yukon XL/ Denali models. Is there an advantage to 4WD vs AWD vehicles? My 97 GMC Suburban will go through deep snow if needed. Will a newer AWD vehicle or a 4WD "when needed" vehicle perform as well? Advice needed!

Add Hp to Jeep Wrangler SE by Aaron Timmer
Hey all. I just bought a 2000 Wrangler SE w/ the 2.4L I4 (maybe should have gone w/ the I6). I would like to add some more horses, as I have trouble reaching 65 mph o the highway. If anybody has some easy ways to gain some power relatively cheaply, I would really like to know. Thanks, Aaron

Not rec... But it's a 4X4! Explorer 4X4 question by Clem
Hi all, I have my father in law's Explorer in the garage because he wanted a power steering leak source found. Well, I found the pump seal leaking, but I also wanted to try and figure out his 4X4 problem. Until this winter it's been working great. It's pushbutton (yuk), so I assumed it was vacuum...

Would a Jeep be your choice ? by Iowa883
As posted earlier, I am wanting something for off road. Well, I could also use something to plow my driveway out in the winter. I am considering a Geo Tracker or Suzuki but I know they won't hold a plow. How about a Jeep like a CJ5 or Wrangler series ? What would you guys recommend ? Thanks, Iowa883

ISO: information on fairly narrow, driver's side pumpkin, front axle by [email protected]
A friend of a friend of ... is wanting to convert his early 60's Econoline truck to 4WD. Apparently he needs a front axle with a driver's side pumpkin. Also, as this is a fairly small truck, it needs to be ~ 61" WMS to WMS (drum-to-drum). Apparently an early Wagoneer axle is the right width, but...

My Ford Ranger with 45k miles is having difficulty getting into 4wd. Sometimes it goes right in but usually, it takes a while (a minute or so) and it seems as if it isn't really fully engaged as I get an occasional clunk like gear teeth slipping to the next tooth. Eventually, it seems to settle...
