84 quattro oil buzzer by
[email protected]
Hi all...
I have an 84 Quattro, about 172,000 miles on it. This morning I started it
up and went out and noticed that the oil light would come on and a warning
buzzer sounded when I was changing gears (5 speed). Thinking it needed oil,
I went back home but the level was fine and went out again. It...

Will these wheels fit my TT? by
ZiggyPopp
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=7943114914&category=66483
I just swapped out to my 18" winter wheels today. My summer wheels are
OEM 17" and I like the look of the bigger wheel.
Any other suggestions as to TT wheels on the more conservative side in
the 19"...

brake "bomb": how to pick one at the scrap yard? by
Christoph Bollig
South African Audi 500, 1989 (same as Audi100 type 44 in Europe/USA)
Hi again,
I have the following problem: I finally figured out that my brake
accumulator (the "bomb" mentioned so often) is not working either. I
always suspected that the breaks didn't work as well as they should
when pressed...

Source for Audi parts and independant repair shops? by
Thundersmash
Hello,
I've got an Audi A6 Quattro ('99) that needs some TLC .. two of the problems
that have been nagging me for a while are that both front door armrests
separated from the doors at the handles and one of them has cracked pretty
far through in the middle where all the stress from bending has...

A4 1.8T buying advice please by
Jon E
Hi all,
I'm interested in buying an A4 1.8T Avant and was wondering what to check
for. I've heard there is something like a timing belt to be changed around
100k, is this right? I'm in the uk and looking at spending 4000-5000, so
proabably a 1996 model.
Was there anything specific to watch for...

Could this be a lambda issue? by
Redwood
1993 Audi 80 2.0 single point (ABT engine).
It's my dad's car, had it from new & been well serviced over the years. I'm
trying to diagnose poor top end performance and thinking it may be the
lambda sensor, or any other suggestions welcome.
Starts & drives well but gutless at top end. Up to...

To the owners of A6 by
KIP
Me and my wife test drove a 2001 A6 2.7T 6M and found a couple of
glitches which I would like to share with the group. The steering
wheel does not provide a reasonable response even in turns, and
the gas pedal is so light that you do not feel any resistance at
all. As far as I know it is a...

Importing from Europe to UK by
Graham
Hi,
I'm interested in the new 2 litre TDI A3 with DSG but getting a used one is
proving nigh on impossible (hardly surprising I suppose considering how new
they are). So I was thinking of buying a new one but the prices in the UK
are still a bit on the high side for me. Is importing one still...

can you change the output on a bosch internaly regulated alternator ? by
richard
Yes you can, there are two ways: one is to buy this device:
http://www.extra150miles.com/30trial.html
(you will get 14.09V instead of 13.80V, energy comes from Kinetic Energy,
not from fossil fuel)
Two is to send your alternator to me and I will fix it for you for $100,

brake pads for 2001 Audi A4 2.8L V6 Quattro by
Curtis Newton
Auto in question: 2001 Audi A4 2.8L V6 quattro
I have been looking around on the Audi forum and google, and I can't
find a consensus on the best brake pad to use for normal, everyday
driving. I don't like the OEM pad, they have way too much brake dust.
I have heard EBC Greenstuff, Hawk, or...

Oil change on 1996 Audi A6 - V6 2.6 litre engine (UK) by
Mark
Hi all,
I can see the sump at the back of the engine with a drain plug in the
centre, but I can also
see an oil pan (?) with a drain plug at the front of the engine (this
is where the oil filter is).
Do both have to be drained for an oil change, or does the oil from the
front pan drain into the...

A4 Question by
TonyJ
A4 control arm squeaks are common. After working with five or more I
would be willing to bet that the problem is not at the frame end of the
arms it is due to dried out ball joints.
You can fix by using a grease needle adapter to inject white lithium
into the rubber boots. It will take 3 or 4 days...
