'78 Honda Civic - Stuck wheel, Mayonaise by Alexis Ostapenko
Please help! What to do? I cannot get off the rear wheel drum on my trusty '78 Honda Civic (just 100,305 M on it) to check the brake shoes. The nut is off, and I've loosened the brake adjustment, but the drum does not come off.(It can be rotated.) I've tried prying with a screw driver between...

help for my 1986 chevy celebrity wagon by akrock
The choke relay under the dash buzzes and the choke light comes on at just above idle speed. Depending on the rpm the buzzing either increases or decreases along with the intensity of the choke light. At idle and above 1200 rpms they quit. Doesn't matter if I am driving or sitting still.

choke relay buzzes by akrock
The choke relay buzzes at just above idle and the choke light comes on and varies in intensity with the buzzing which also varies in intensity depending on the engine rpms. Once the engine gets above 1200 rpms or to idle they both cut off but will come back on once the engine gets to that certain...

Driving Without A Thermostat by [email protected]
I need your opinions on this. A friend told me that a thermostat in a car is not necessary for proper engine operation and that the thermostat is mainly there to provide heat for people in the car. He said that cooler engines run better, are more powerful, last a lot longer, and provides more...

What car had an aluminum block & head V8 or V6 engine? by Chief McGee
Designing a new project and I need a light weight engine. I seem to recall that Buick offered a aluminum block and head V8 a few years back. A V6 would do. Anybody know a older car that I could pick up cheap that would have one of these engines? Thanks

96 626 leaky radiator.. by [email protected]
It appears to be leaking on the right sides towards the bottom where the radiator mounts to the car frame. But I can't see or get down there to tell if it's a crack or somethings not tightened well or what. What's the best way to A) find the leak, B)patch the leak (i've already tried the stuff you...

Mazda Protogege Radio Removal by [email protected]
I have inserted four knitting needles into the 4 "removal" openings behind the two side bezels in my wife's 2001 Protoge, so I can remove the radio to fix an intermittent display. But, the radio seems as tightly fixed in the dash as before I inserted the needles into the four removal holes. The...

Olds Cierra interior fan stays on by [email protected]
Hello all, The interior heat/AC fan on my 87 Olds Cierra remains on high regardless of interior switch positions or ignition position. I have to unplug it under the hood when I turn the car off so it doesn't drain the battery. Would this be a blower motor problem (short?) or a problem with the fan...
