[email protected]
Hello,
I have a 97 Expedition which needs the upstream O2 sensor replaced on
the passenger side. I have the O2 socket, but my question is, how the
heck do you get at it? The entire sensor and wiring harness are
blocked by the exhaust, heat shields, etc. I don't see any way to get
the socket...

88 Cadillac Deville. Serpentine belt routing..... by
88Caddy
Hi,
One of my pulleys has seized. The diagram in the Haynes manual does
not include the pulley in question. I have identified the alternator,
the power steering, the water pump, the A/C compressor, the tensioner
and one or two idlers. I do not know what the remaining pulley is and
am therefore...

synthetic oil for 1970 Eldorado; what grade? by
F. Baker
Were I to use synthetic (Mobil-1) oil in a 1970 Cadillac
Eldorado , which
grade would be best? The car has 51000 miles on it.
Is used approx. 2000 miles/year presently, though
hoping to take it on some lengthy (1500+ miles) trips
in near future. Car sees somewhat more use in hot
weather than...

Exhaust coming in vent by
Son of Sam
Can anybody tell me why exhaust would come into my car via the vents
when I start it up cold? It only happened once and that was today. My
friend and I got in and started it and the exhaust just poured in. Any
reason why this would happen?

How fast to drive with emergency tires? by
Tim Zimmerman
I just stepped on a nail and lost 40-pounds. I am swapping in a spare. The
spare says I can go only 50-mph max; instead I will go 80 like the rest of the
gangs. If I really need to go fast, what is the right way to do it on
a spare?
Thanks

Someone told me to check it. I thought it was on back of engine but it
doesn't appear to be there. Can someone tell me where it is on this
engine? Inside the manifold maybe?
Thanks,

driver license for trailers? by
Brian
I'm doing a little research. I just learned that in Ontario you need to
have a A-class drivers license to tow a trailer over 4,600 Kg (roughly
10,000 pounds). That's the same license to drive tractor-trailers, and you
need annual testing and periodic medicals to keep that license, plus you
need a...

I'm a shade tree mechanic who has done his own brake work for 25+

anti-lock. I've a 99 suburban that probably needs new pads and I might
as well replace the fluid. Can I do this work like I always have or
are them some gotchas...

way. I put it in the same way the other was in.
Anyway, since then it has had a couple of intermittent periods of
