Water pump woes by
egalas
My 1989 GXL engine, replaced with factory rebuild at 108,000 went belly
up(june 20, 2005) on the freeway due to water pump failure ansubsequent
overheat before I could safely stop.
The garage elected to retain the original WP at the time of the swap (Feb
2002), which I agrred to with reluctance at...

Differential strength by
Don Benton
Hopefully my last question on differentials.
I can't seem to locate the '94+ parts, but one outfit quoted me $350
for a locking differential out of a '93. I recall reading they
weren't particularly effective, but my question is, are they any
stronger than the non-lockers for those...

BRG 1991 miata on Ebay - 325 total miles by
pws
This isn't my car, and I don't know about the seals being as fresh as
new, but it is still pretty cool to look at. It has averaged about 23
miles a year so far since 1991.
He is probably dreaming at $18K, but it is over $12K right now.

92 1.8l clutch adjustment by
Shawn
92 Mazda Protege DX 1.8L 5-speed. Is there a clutch adjustment? This car has
never had much pedal and the clutch has been slipping intermittently for 75K
miles. I don't dog it, and don't let it slip unless I am testing. Thanks

Notchy gear shift by
Kenneth S.
The gear shift on my 1990 Miata (139,500 miles) lately has started to
seem notchy, and shifting into reverse sometimes produces an embarrassing
grinding noise. Does anyone know what the problem is, and how much it is
likely to cost to fix? Everything else on the car is fine, and I plan to
keep it...

Check Engine Light by

I have an intermittent 'check engine' light. It came on for about a half
hour in the middle of 3 hour drive. It was out well before the engine was
stopped and turning the key back on to accessory did not result in an error
code flashed by the check engine light (per miata.net it should on this...

Differential replacement by
Don Benton
Greetings, all....ain't been around in a while so happy to see things
still active.
While coasting down a 3 mile hill, I heard a "clunk" from the rear
following by a whirring sound. Had a pretty good idea what the prob
was and prayed the thing would get me the next 50 miles to home. Made
it to 7...

TSI parts? by
n93332
Some years ago I purchased the TSI turn signal intakes for my '94 Miata.
They came unpainted in an off white color. I had them painted black and
installed them on my red car. I have gotten many good comments about them
over the years.
A couple years ago, I noticed the lenses on both were cracked....

Clutch frozen, 2000 Miata by
Trent-Lion
My 2000 Miata has been sitting in garage for many months. When I tried
to move it, I found that the clutch pedal is frozen. Steady (but not
100%) force with my foot does not budge clutch pedal. When car is
running, clutch does not depress, manual gearshift changes gears, but
car does not move. ...

Moving car to Europe by
szafajego
Hi, does anybody know what is the cost of moving car to Europe?
I want to buy Miata (1991-1995) and I'm wondering what is the average
price of 1992 Mazda in US?
Could you recommend me some good US websites with car ads?

Frame rail reinforcement kit?????? by
[email protected]
Any out there have any comments on this product sold by Flyin' Miata?
We have a 2000 which shakes (sometimes described as cowl shudder)
crossing tracks or on bumps.
Miss the feel of the old 1990 when this happens.
Would this improve the situation marginally, significantly or not...

Restuffing Seats by
[email protected]
I recently bought a '91 miata from a relatively tall individual. I
know that for many +6' people, removing seat foam gives them more
space. I'm 5'8" and like my seat at standard height. Anybody have
advise on reinstalling the missing foam? What kind of faom is it and
where can I get it?
