Proper Radiator Cap Pressure Rating for 1994 Honda Accord EX? by
Gary Kaucher
1994 Honda Accord EX, 4 door
4 cylinder, Automatic Transmission
I just recently replaced the Radiator fan motor, and now both my AC fan
and Radiator fan seem to be capable of turning on and off. However,
I don't think that they are turning on soon enough. With the recent hot
weather here in PA, if...

Strange ongoing humming tone from 94 Accord by
[email protected]
Hello,
I recently bought a 1994 Honda Accord LX, with 195,000 miles. As I was
walking out to my car this morning, I heard a strange ongoing
high-pitched tone, which could best be described as a more faint
version of the horn. I panicked, thinking that the horn switch somehow
froze in place (I'm in...

Brief "survey". Has Honda lost its way? by
KWW[_2_]
Fellow newsgroup citizens, we used to be a (nearly) all Honda family - 3
Hondas and 1 classic VW Beetle (1965). On our earlier Hondas I replaced
timing belts, entire engines, and some other parts myself. Now, however,
the 2 remaining Honda cars I and my in-laws have seem to reflect a
company...

Civic - Honda service or mechanic? by
Scott
Hi,
I've just bought a 1997 Civic 1.5 LS. It has full Honda stamped service
history up to 60,000 miles but 66,000 mile service was missed (optional
service anyway). It's now 70,000 miles and so due for the big 72,000
mile service, and my question is would it be ok to take it to my
mechanic who...

Accord 2008 and fuel octane by
alfred[_3_]
Hello,
I have a 2008 Accord Auto 4 cyl EX-L. The manual says to use regular 87
octane. The compression ratio in this car is high enough where premium would
be required in other car brands with the same compression ratio and almost
as high as other Hondas (such as the civic si) that do require...

Headlight bulb replacement by
Help-Slip-Franklin
2004 Accord. The headlights are just not bright enough on the car and I'd
like to replace them with something brighter. I've looked at the HID bulbs,
is that the only option? What has anyone tried and how do they work? Thanks
in advance.

2005 Honda Odyssey Door Lock Issue by
Karl Kingston
My wife just mentioned this (and I have seen it happen before).
We usually lock the doors using the lock/unlock switches on the doors (and
the drivers side door button). This usually works well, and locks the van.
The problem we're noticing is that when using the lock/unlock (and
sometimes the...

I've been ready to make my changes to my cig. lighter from ignition to
"always on", and I discovered something semi disturbing before I made the
changes.
Between the positive and negative terminals of the cigarette lighter (pos is
center, and ground/neg is shell) I'm expecting 0 resistance. ...

the only way to go?

It's official. Manual transmissions are making a comeback. by
Gordon McGrew
There are lots of great statistics at the Government CAFE web site.
Lots of compiled data on cars going back to 1977 (and some even
older.) One interesting trend tracked is the percentage of
automobiles with automatic transmissions.
In 1977, 84.1% of all new cars had AT. Under pressure of...
